Buys too much on Amazon! –
I’d heard plenty of recommendations for Lily’s Kitchen food for their whippets, so when I saw the puppy meals on here, I thought it would provide interesting variety from my puppy’s diet that is mainly Symply and Forthglade. However, my puppy was not impressed at all with this when I mixed it in with his normal food to gradually ease him onto the new brand. Nor was he interested at all when I tried a tray on its own for him. In fact he hardly sniffed it. It does have a very strong herb smell like sage that certainly made me think it wasn’t very appetising.
And as the box is only half covering the trays, the end tray was crushed in the packaging.
So I’ve opened two and ended up throwing away 2 trays worth of food as my puppy didn’t like it.
I’ll probably end up donating to a rescue centre as I have lots left. I’d added it to a subscription so will be cancelling this. The problem with buying on Amazon is that there are not individual trays you can try before buying in bulk. Won’t make…

My dog is the fussiest eater.
For years Ive tried him on lots of various brands, only for him to turn his nose up, and go hungry.
A year ago, I started him on lily’s range, hand on heart, he absolutely loves all the different flavours and gobbles it down. I dont think he has a favourite, he’s tried them all.
He also loves the dry food aswell, I feed both wet and dry.
(And he adores the bed time cookies)
For the last year I’ve had one very Happy dog, who looks forward to to his dinner time.
And one less stressed owner, no longer worrying about him not eating. ๐
Would absolutely recommend.
10 out of 10.

I’ve been feeding my intact male, English Cocker Spaniel this for a couple of years, and it seemed great, but, having done some research, and having to feed him the Lilys organic chicken biscuits along with this to be affordable, it really is quite exorbitantly priced per meal for the nutrition the mix of the two offers. If I was to just feed him only these trays, it would work out around ยฃ6+ per day. This flavour (organic beef tray) has nearly doubled in price for x11 for some reason too? What?! The food seems OK but to be honest, he just isn’t that interested anymore, but, beef is the preferable of the three flavours. I have had a few trays that haven’t been quite right, i.e, gaps, discoloured bits on top, but nothing as repulsive as what some have mentioned. It used to smell delicious, now, it smells cheap. I had no idea it is produced by Nestle either, it gives off a completely different vibe to the dreadful ‘Bakers’ which it shares the brand with…You may aswell feed your dog…

Smelt off & my little dog would not eat it & its normally his favourite food. The fact that there were tiny little white things in it that were moving made it obvious something was wrong with it. Sent pictures to seller and their reply was oh that’s normal, its supposed to look like that!! Disgraceful…

My Dog has extreme allergy to any wheat and grain, so I have to scrutinise all product information.
He has been having the same food for years, but I thought I would try lily’s kitchen for a change for his palette.
Product arrived well packed and in good condition, but looking at the back of the product on foil tray I read MADE IN FACTORY THAT HANDLES GRAIN SO TRACES MAY BE PRESENT.
I was really angry to see this as my dog can not have even a trace of grain.
This should be in red bold lettering if this is the case but it was not.
So I am sorry that I can not comment of what he though of the food or scent or flavour.
Not at all happy.

Usually the quality of products from Lily’s kitchen is excellent and I’ve bought several times before a mix of tins and foil packs. However these foil packs are not up to normal quality, despite their long expiry dates. They seem softer than usual and don’t smell great. Given the hot weather I put some in the fridge to see if that improved matters, but no success. Worse still they have upset my dog. He’s vomited a foil pack back up again three times in the last fortnight, something he normally never does. I wonder if they’ve been stored somewhere where its got too hot ? Very disappointing as I pay the higher prices for this brand because their food is usually good. I wont buy again after this experience. Ideally I would have liked to contact the seller privately rather than leave a negative review like this – but unlike ebay, amazon doesnt seem to have a ‘contact a seller’ option – and i cant return the packs as they have been partially eaten. So this has become a waste of money…
