This keyboard mouse combo is not a good choice for most people. The included mouse is way too small for a desktop set up. The keyboard has a very cheap feel to it. the batteries rattle if you pick up or move the keyboard.
The keys are all stuck together which you can adjust to overtime but isn’t nice. Key presses are very strange and feel too light, it’s not a pleasant experience.
The media keys dont work. They just open a browser page. and in the software, you cannot remap what they do. Also the calculator key also opens a webpage and the battery key doesnt do anything and isnt remappble.
I’m going to email logitech to see if that can be fixed, else i will return it. Would not recommend. Go for the MS equivalent. cost the same but feels nicer to use.

Bought this because it was a decent brand. I don’t do gaming only straightforward typing.
Firstly, the batteries that came with it were flat. Secondly, you have to have extremely strong pinky finger to use the shift keys as you needed to keep substantial pressure on the key in order for it to work. The numerous 2/” key also extremely difficult to use for the same reason.
Being a touch typist, I spent more time correcting errors caused by the keys sticking than a nuby learning to type!
Thirdly, the usb receiver has to be in the most prominent position or it will not work; even if in sight of the keyboard. I found this annoying because I like to keep the top usb free for stuff not used on a daily basis so I don’t have to faf about looking for a spare slot located behind the screen
Very disappointed.

I really wanted to love this keyboard however…
I have always been a Logitech fan but this keyboard let me down.
1 The size: it is a full keyboard size, I mean, it is full of every button possible, plus media button on the top and resting wrist on the bottom (I have never understood the functionality of it as it is impossible to type and rest wrists there), therefore it takes a huge amount of space out of your desk. MASSIVE.
2 The keys: The keys are normal size but with a long run and response, it seems more a keyboard from the 80s than a modern keyboard…lol if you are used to the modern keyboard of the laptop (scissor keys) you will find it very weird to use. Because all of this this is precisely not a quiet keyboard. It is actually very loud in my opinion.
3 The material: I was definitely expecting more from Logitech. It doesn’t feel a premium brand keyboard at all, it does not feel cheap but I was expecting more.
4 The mouse: now, I do not have a big hand but this mouse is…

I brought this to replace a cheaper model with had the craziest keyboard layout, the Insert Home End on other Logitech model were totally wrong locations, when you are used to some keys in locations it’s impossible to adjust.
This one seems much better. I have been using just half a day, and the gloss finish near cursor keys has finger marks already, hence 4 stars.
Mouse is useless as I have a MX Anywhere which is so good I brought three already. Why can’t Logitech sale a good value keyboard and not force you to use their crappiest mouse with it?
There seems a gap in the keyboard market, where you don’t need stupid LED gaming level, and Cherry MX keys, but a better than the lowest level keyboard.
This one seems ok for now. keys little soft, but function keys are all in the right places, so this is for now good enough.

There are two confusingly similar Keyboard and Mouse Combo’s from Logitech. This “Logitech Advanced Combo” and also a slightly more costly “Logitech MK540 Advanced Combo”.
There are significant functional differences between them which may be enough to make the cheaper version not suitable in all cases, especially if you wish to combine these devices with other Logitech mice or keyboards.
Both combos are packaged almost identically, and are very similar in appearance in all the product photos. Whilst the different bundled mice may be more obvious, it was not clear, even when checking Logitech’s web site, what the differences there are between the MK540 vs MK540e keyboards.
The Logitech Advanced Combo includes:
+ MK540e keyboard
+ M185 mouse
+ Wireless Receiver
The Logitech MK540 Advanced Combo includes:
+ MK540 keyboard
+ M310 mouse
+ Wireless Unifying Receiver
The keyboards appear to share the same build quality, look and feel and typing experience, being variants of the same design, but…
