Before you buy, please read this:
I ordered 2 new portable external SSD drives. (2*ยฃ50) The first was sealed Q.C. Passed and it looked ok but the second drive had a BROKEN SEAL so it was already open before being delivered to me. SAD. Someone returned a disk and the same returned disk was shipped FOR ME as new. Another disadvantage. The PACKAGINGS has visible signs of dried glue from the stickers. Why was it sold as new when it doesn’t look like new? Another issue, performance… “speeds up to 1000MB / s read speeds up to 980MB / s” on the website. SAD TRUE in REAL is 566MB/s READ and 520MB/s WRITE. Speed measurement was via USB 3.1 with both connector type C in CrystalDiskMark 8.04 x64. Thank you for the FAILED GIFT. Total rating 2/5 WHY ? Half the performance it hurts especially since the manufacturer provides almost 1000MB /s !
Now I understand why I couldn’t find reviews or tests of this product on the internet before.

Used it to revitalise my old 2013 iMac which was running on a slow internal drive, now installed MacOS Catalina on this drive – it’s so quick to boot and launch programs. Strongly recommend this drive – not had a single disconnection, lag or anything go wrong with it after several months daily use.

The extra storage helps, but it doesn’t help with in game performance because of the connection type. But this is very useful to have if you want to dedicate a couple of frequent played games between consoles

Amazing. I re-installed MacOS on this disk instead of the internal mechanical HDD (as someone else has done) and it has turned an almost unusable laggy and slow 2019 iMac intoโฆ. a Mac which works as youโd expect. Process took about 4 hours but was pretty really easy via recovery mode (restart and press Ctrl-r) and the migration assistant. Should have done it ages ago!
