Excellent bit of tech. Gave me peace of mind during a recent holiday that my home was all secure. Packaged well and looks and feels more expensive than it is. Easy to set up and the app is easy to use.

Just received another of these cameras to place in an elderly relatives living room to make sure they are ok. Set it up on a different WiFi network to my original camera. Set up literally took 2 minutes. Practically foolproof.

A couple of hard resets fixed the sleep issue…
Update.
After a day or two I noticed that the sleep mode was not working – it was recording events 24hrs a day.
Tried enabling Sleep again – but it wont let me the Sleep slider button in the app just slides back left within a few seconds of enabling. Tried contacting Xiaomi – no response after 48hrs.
If I cant get this fixed it will be going back – shame…

Great price for a feature-packed camera and decent app from Xiaomi
Took just a few minutes to get setup and running.
App offers a fairly good feature set and flexibility.
Only negative so far would be that I cannot get the NAS feature to work.
It sees my actual fully feature NAS drive and PCs on the network but then cannot progress with setting up NAS recording.

This little cute IP cam works well with the Xiaomi Home App, this version is English unlike other version in the past and the instructions are simple enough to follow. The picture quality is great on my phone and the motion detection works great with push notifications sent to my phone when movement is detected. There is also a voice option so you can use it to speak to your love ones over the internet which I found useful in scaring my little ones now and then!
Inside the box is the ip camera itself, a bracket, a micro usb lead and instruction leaflet, the camera can be placed on a desktop, or mounted upside down. I found that if you mount it upside down it gives a better rotational views. You will also need to purchase a memory card should you wish to record motion detection.

Very disappointed, the alerts just don’t work, nothing came through, I think a previous review on here has suggested it’s due to Xiaomi using Chinese servers, and after a bit of digging on google that appears to be the case. Also the picture quality was nowhere near as good as the wansview I bought the other day. The picture is very pixilated even after maxing out the settings. Frame rate was terrible too, unfortunately I’ve had to return the item.

Image quality is really good. Software is ok. Really good quality price except for the motion detection / monitoring. Doesn’t work sometimes and many times it gives false positives, including light change seen as “motion”. Not very useful as a security camera.

As with all xiaomi products this is an excellent value for money .
It’s very easy and straightforward to set up , downloaded the Mi app on my Android device and followed the instructions and and boom! It was already paired , seamless and easy.
It worked perfect with my Google assistant 👌 the Mi Home app is very easy and simple to use.
Speaking about the cameras image quality and the video resolution is again excellent , the IR mode kicks in automatically in low light / dark condition giving you a superb image in pitch Black condition . Over all this is an excellent very reliable security camera and I do have more than one and for over 6 month it never failed .
* For this price point and all the features this camera is capable of, I highly recommend it .

Couldn’t set it up initially via the app. Device never connected and spent hours on the internet checking for results as xiaomi’s digital contents are very basic.
Wasted hours of my time and some of the solutions suggested were ridiculous like reconfiguring your wifi name and password that will have an effect on all your current devices connected to the wifi (I’ve got 10+ devices).
Products looks great, app interface is also nice but it sidn’t work at all.
It might be some regional thing but I bought it on Amazon UK and I live in London so it should work…

Warning: as good as camera this maybe, with great features like motion detection etc, xiaomi are unfortunately removing their servers, so nothing will work outside of China, this means although this camera records through sd card, it does not give notifications to the app, and unfortunately it seems like most of xiaomi smart home apps are also not giving push notifications to the users outside of main land China… I ended up purchasing a nooie camera which has been great where app push notifications work and is only a few pounds more…be warned..
