Well what a brilliant way to waste a few hours! If like me you loved Lego as a kid, then I highly recommend this game. In creative mode it is essentially digital Lego, in survival mode it’s more of an adventure game with monsters etc. Go on, you know you want to see what the fuss is about! P.S. buy a game guide as well.

Our grandson says it is perfect – who am I to argue. At the end of the day it is just a small data card in a big plastic box with a colourful cover.

I originally bought Minecraft years ago for my laptop back when it was an independent release still in Beta. I loved it for a few days but then never went back to it. Since then, I’ve owned a version on my xBox 360 (which I lost when I moved over to a PS4) and now I have the Switch version (which is by far the priciest version to date).

My main reason for buying this again was basically due to my five year old daughter. She’s itching to play games but all of the ones I’ve purchased so far have been too difficult for her to fully grasp on her own. Minecraft has been perfect, in a short space of time she was showing me features I didn’t know existed (its come a long way from its humble beginnings).

The negatives for me is you’re paying a premium for a version that is probably the most technically inferior. The draw distance is okay, and probably akin to my old 360, however, I would expect the Switch to do better. There also seems to be lots of extras that are locked – not sure if you…

I couldn’t possibly review this game correctly- mainly because I’m a 34 year old woman- and as a 34 year old I couldn’t possibly tell you how to even play this game??

I watch my 11 year old and 4 year old play it with ease- and I sit there all confused wondering why I spent so much money on a switch- with magnificent graphics- for them to play a game that looks like it came out in the early 90’s?

That doesn’t even really seem to have a point or story line or even a goal to work towards?

What I will base it on- is the fact that it keeps them quiet, makes them happy and they actually get along while playing it together.

    Its a miracle!!!!!

Bought this for myself (Yes, i am a big kid). Before having it on Switch I played it on my iPad! My nieces (Aged between 8 and 11) introduced me to the game and its great fun playing it all together. Being a grown woman with a full time job and house work, I haven’t actually had a lot of time to play it properly. But from what i have seen it is a lot better than playing it on the iPad.

There is something for everyone in this game. I love the fact you have a choice in how you play the game. Either in creative to create your own world with unlimited possibilities, or survival where you work your way up, make things with what you find and fight off monsters. I really do think that my nieces have benefited from the creativity of this game!

Having owned Minecraft on 4 platforms since it’s alpha years ago, there’s not much to say here. Great game as always though, and especially pleased with the fidelity on Switch which was pleasantly suprising considering the hardware here (60fps too!).

Also, it’s a no brainer to buy the cartridge version for the same price as the e-shop

This game is exactly what you would expect. It runs well on switch docked and undocked and has cross platform play with the bedrock edition. The render distance is pretty good and graphics are what you would expect. The only problem I have with it is that once in a blue moon, whenever I open an inventory, the the cursor will move upwards constantly.
    Other than that, it’s flawless

Great game and another great way to play it. We love the fact you can play this on a full console anywhere you feel like it.
