it is working one day then not working the second day, I have to consistently install it on daily basis and sometimes 2 or 3 times a day . quite frustrating. I have been using for several months and I did not notice it since I am using my 4G mobile net work at home most of time. then When I start to use it for my mobile game or iPad and it is start getting worse and worse. yes, it is working when connected to the router for several hours. then stop working. so basically, I must unplug it and plug in, then reinstall from the progress again and again and again. I would never recommend anyone to buy at all. absolutely crap. I am going to buy different one anyway .. totally waste of my time.

This is for EX2200 mesh extender.
Arrived yesterday, took 15 minutes to set up, really easy, nice wifi signal all around house now.
First impression is great. But less than 24 hours after installing the wifi upstairs was gone. All 5 blue LED’s were lit on unit but no wifi signal.
Switched off power and rebooted extender and wifi came back, no longer impressed. May just have been a glitch but I have no intention of rebooting it daily, I want wifi not a daily chore. If this continues it will be back in box and returned.
I will give it 7 days before deciding, but already having doubts about this purchase.

Update after a week: extender played up over weekend, needed reset a few times. Decided to exchange for replacement, 2nd one arrived, set it up easily using the wps function again, but also logged into extender with a laptop to monitor status. Found that reason for 5Ghz wifi channel trouble was due to my Sky Fibre Broadband being on channel 36, instead of the required 100 to 140.
    I called…

Arrived in the time stipulated. Set up was quick and simple to my Virgin router. I placed the extender upstairs on the landing which is above where my router is situated and this stills gives a strong signal so can now access the internet from a bedroom I previously had a problem with.

The blue neon lights are very bright and this now doubles as a night light on the landing which the wife is pleased with when she goes to the loo in the early hours.

If there was once criticism the instructions did not actually state what the neon lights denote – not a big issue as you can go on line and find it out. But with the bright lights on it is difficult to see what each one is.

While it is expensive it does the job well and would recommend.

My main router is a Netgear D7800 which works brilliantly around the house, but very low wireless connection in the shed or garage where I need a connection. After reading up on the specs I ordered the EX7500 wireless range extender and set it up and found the following.

Setting it up out the box was fairly straightforward, login to my D7800 and use the WPS wizard and after powering on the EX7500 and having 2 steady lights press the WPS button. After a short while the lights flash and they ‘see’ each other, the lights all become lit showing a connection to the router and 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz connections at full power (lit blue).

I logged on to a laptop and followed the instructions on the included booklet and using the EX7500’s web page I upgraded the firmware which went easily enough. Rebooted the device and used the smart setup wizard to extend both my 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz networks and used the same SSID’s. All went ok, and I saved the configuration in case something went wrong, I’ve been…

Bought this to help with poor WiFi around the house and planned to install this downstairs but within range of my Wifi router.

Installation was straight forward if a little lengthy and when done this extender worked fine. However I found that when i went out of range and connected to my main router and returned to within range of this unit it wouldn’t allow me to connect again thus defeating the object of having the extender.

This required me to reset the extender and get my phone/table/laptop to reconnect to the extender – this went on for 3 days at which point I visited the Netgear forums only to see all of the complaints about this device. Within 5 minutes it was back in the box and a return raised with Amazon.

In my opinion this product is not fit for purpose and shame on Netgear for not fixing the problems.
