Moved from an old D90 to the D7500. Fantastic camera and very satisfied with the results! Some nice added features and overall huge upgrade from the older D90. A dual memory card slot would be nice, but not a deal breaker for me. Very happy with the product. ian.j.davies on instagram if you want to see some of the pictures taken off it.

Thereโ€™s a myth in the camera community that you can get a good shot out of a ยฃ100 camera if you have the skills. If you place any value on your own time then this camera is a fantastic investment for someone that wants semi-professional shots.

On paper the d5600 might cover my needs but this is such a great value camera crammed with features I would say itโ€™s the best value aps-c Nikon by far. It is heavy for an aps-c but you get use to the weight quickly and itโ€™s half the weight of a full frame.

Very versatile camera that performs well in many situations. Shame about the kit lens really, I struggled with it for a while before buying the d5600 kit lens and finding it much more versatile. I will be using this kit lens for macro on a budget but Iโ€™m not sure itโ€™s good for portrait or product photography, the barrel distortion is significant and it performs poorly at the focal length extremes.

I like how fast it is. its faster at taking photos than I am able to take decent photos, im never waiting for it, like i would be with many entry-level cameras.
the resolution is too low, a 24 or even 30-megapixel sensor would have made this camera far better.
it’s small, slightly bigger than an entry-level Nikon DSLR but much smaller than its bigger brother (the D500).
it’s not as easy to use as an entry-level camera, this isn’t necessarily a negative or a positive, its just something to be aware of, you can just leave it on auto if your worried about that kind of stuff

I initially intended to purchase a mirrorless camera. One of the reasons for choosing this item is the wide range of affordable lenses available.
I used to own a Nikon FM2 SLR some years ago and this is my first DSLR.
Once I have managed master the many settings, it is a joy to use.
The results so far are fab when compared with ones taken with my phone.

  6. well happy

Had a D90 for the last 10 years and had been thinking of upgrading for some time. Good solid upgrade. Worth the expense. Even as a D90 user though this is a considerable step up and a steep learning curve and it will be some time before I have mastered the new features. Still thats why I bought it . I ma gonna have some fun with this !

Rear cap of F Type Lens is stuck. I have been unable to use my camera.
I have just bought my camera & am trying to start using it. But my experience so far has been extremely frustrating. I bought the camera but was unable to start using it within the first month of purchase due to work pressure. Now I am trying to use it but am unable to use it due to a faulty lens cap. This purchase experience is making me extremely uncomfortable with buying a high value item online. I am really struggling to get support & am regretting buying this Nikon camera from Amazon (though I have been a loyal Amazon customer for decades).

Bought it on Amazon. I mostly shoot with Fuji, but have owned Nikon D200, D300, D7000, D800 and D750.
Sold the D750 as I will soon buy the full frame mirrorless and bought this D7500 with also the 16-80 F2.8-4. Greta combo. Great photos, I like it and use it with 24-70 f2.8 for portraits and 70-200 f4 for city scape.
Good purchase and the AF points cover almost all the sensor, not those, unnerving, of the D750, all crammed in the center.
