Proscenic M8 PRO Robot Vacuum Cleaner | LDS Laser Navigation Robot with the Self-Emptying Technology | 2-in-1 Vacuuming and Mopping, Smart APP & Alexa Control for Cleaning Pet Hair/Dirt/Dust/Crumbs

Description

The Proscenic M8 PRO self-empty base automatically collects robot waste. Proscenic’s 4.3L disposable dust bag can be used for 90 days before being emptied.

Cleaning schedules for certain rooms or zones may be established at any time through a smartphone app thanks to an upgraded laser navigation technology that learns the architecture of your home and develops real-time maps of the entire house.

The LDS allows the robot to do 360-degree scans of its surroundings, both during the day and at night. The cleaning route will be dynamically planned in real-time. As you speedily and thoroughly clean the entire home, not a single spot will be missed.

If you want a genuinely spotless floor, you should vacuum and mop simultaneously. The 5200mAh high-capacity battery provides up to 200 minutes of run time, and the four different water flow settings make it easy to remove and wash away even the most entrenched stains.

The Proscenic M8 Pro UK App allows you to monitor precise mopping and vacuuming paths, designate “No-Go Zones,” “No-Mop Zones,” and “No-Go Lines,” customize suction power and water flow, and create a cleaning plan for individual rooms. Voice commands can be used to manage the vacuum because it is compatible with Google Assistant and Alexa.

The M8 pro vacuums and mops well. A couple of set up issues related to pairing to my Wi-Fi and the dust collector were speedily dealt with by the excellent customer service team. The product manual could be improved by more information on setting up rooms and zones and using more than one map. This is the only reason I did not give the M8 Pro 5 stars

My first experience of robotic vacuums was the Dyson 360-eye. That was a great vacuum but the app was lacking and a worldwide shortage of replacement batteries meant it is now a very expensive door stop. Step in the Proscenic as a replacement. The first thing I noticed is the app is significantly better than the Dyson one with the ability to annotate maps and create zones etc and the setup of the robot was very straightforward and it was up and running in a matter of minutes. The robot performs well (not as well as the Dyson) and gives a good clean and is also more tolerant of getting over obstacles. The self-emptying is a nice function and the robot seems to have better navigation moving quickly and thoroughly through the area. It is also fairly quiet, except for the strange announcements it makes! Not tried the mopping facility yet.Overall it is half the price of the Dyson it replaces and I think it punches well above its weight. The Dyson has better suction but is let down by the app, navigation and speed where the Proscenic shines.Very happy!

The vacuum is great value for money compared to others. The suction is excellent, it leaves great patterns on the carpet and you can really tell when it has been out and about vacuuming. I’m only negative feedback is with the app. It doesn’t stay signed in, which is somewhat frustrating. It would also be great if the app notified you as to why the robot has stopped, it announces the error but if you are in a different room it’s easy to miss. Overall would recommend.

Our first robot hoover and we are pleased. We haven’t done hoovering manually since we bought it. Sometimes carpets need a couple of passes but otherwise good. If they made one with a more powerful suction and longer battery life that would be even better.

I don’t write reviews often. Typically only when I think a product is worth the review and buyers, like me, look for real-life experience before buying.I have had robot vacuum cleaners before, but always on smooth surfaces as their cleaning power typically “suck” (pardon my pun, could not leave it hanging). and battery power deminishes greatly over time.Technology has improved over the years and I have to say, this piece of kit has exceeded my expectations. I’ve got it running for two months now on an area of about 120Sqm consisting of carpet (berber), linoleum and tiles. We have a dog, who’s favourite hobby is lying on the carpet and shedding hair and long haired humans (a typical robo-killer). Just to give you the setting. It does a very good job in our home, and I have not yet had a situation where I had to take out our normal vacuum cleaner except for the area’s that the robot can not reach (which is the case for ALL robovacs). I have yet to try the mopping function. The small linoleum patch we have typically is taken care of when cleaning the kitchen. If ever I decide to try it out, I will amend this review. As mentioned, long hair can be a burden for your robot, if not strangle and kill it. A handy cleaning tool comes with the robot with an integrated cutter. Once every fortnight I take out the rotating brush and use the cutter to sever the tangled hair after which cleaning is a breeze. The tangled hair on the brush axel is smartly kept at bay enough to not interfere with the rotating mechanism. Remove the end caps and take of the hair in one go. It’s a three minute job of cleaning the brushes. The app that comes along with the device asks for way too many permissions that must be switched on during installation, just like any other Chinese spying app, but can be trimmed back to normal after installation. And it is complete! You can define cleaning schedules, it automatically determines rooms after it’s first full discovery, one can define “areas” (no-go, extra cleaning, wet-only, normal cleaning),The app also keeps cleaning records and allows for manual control for cleaning. It keeps cleaning records and calculates the remaining life of some major components such as the brushes (although I would still use my own judgement). Now, is it all good?Sadly, no. If it were, I would have given 5 stars. In the beginning, the robot kept missing the charger by a centimeter or so. Switching it off (5 seconds on the on-off button) resolved this. Also, the sensors get dusty, leaving the robot wandering, switching off and complaining. This is easily resolved by blowing or brishing the dust from the sensors. But I would not trust the drop-off sensors. I have defined a no-go zone at our stairs just in case. The app simply needs work. In the two months it has lost the map of the rooms (leaving no choice but re-discover everything over again and edit your cleaning schedules because your room numbers have changed). It sometimes loses all connection with the robot. Killing the app and re-open it mostly solves that, but not always. Sometimes it loses functionality so you still can use some functions such as: where is my robot and: back to base (so there IS network connectivity) but all other functions refuse to obey. All in all: a very good machine, especially considering it’s price. It performs better then my previous Roomba and has a lot of handy functions. If the app improves, I will consider 5 stars.Edit: a good 6 months in and I now have a love-hate relationship with my robot. Whenever it’s doing it’s chores, it’s doing a good job. But lately it’s become more erratic. Random stops, with no info in the logging getting stuck in areas that never have been an issue, losing it’s map completely. Nothing that a reset won’t solve, but that should not be necessary every other week. The new app has some improvements. So that’s a good thing. All in all, I’ve decided to keep my four star rating. The quality of the work is still satisfactorySecond edit:8 months in and the robot drops dead in it’s tracks after about 25-30 minutes. Quick assessment shows it drains like crazy and dies around 33% charge. after a restart it is back to 47 % but again dies within a minute: typical for a bad cell in the battery pack. Contacted Amazon support who then forwarded me to Proscenic support. After some initial hesitations (they asked me to move to whatsapp because they wanted some footage of the machine’s behaviour), I sent them screenshots of a rapid draining battery. They instantly sent me a new battery (three days delivery) and the link to a youtube video on how to replace (if you can hold a screwdriver, you can do this). Cleaned quite some gunk out of it’s innards and restarted: it’s running like new! This is how customer service should work! So: minus one star for a battery failing within the year, plus one star fow awesome customer service. Still four.. Now fix your darned app and I’ll make it 5….

The media could not be loaded.

I have been using this for a few weeks now so feel I can give an honest review.I was looking for a bot that had a self emptying base, and could vacuum and mop. Everything I looked at was close to £1000 and I just couldn’t justify spending that much. Then I saw this on offer for £360…saw some good reviews so took a risk. And I love it! Yes it’s noisy. And yes there is only 1 map so you can only map out one floor of your house but that really isn’t much of an issue.I usually want to do the whole downstairs at once so just click go on the app. It doesn’t really matter if there is a map or not in that case.Again upstairs just pop it on the floor and off it will go exploring. Just shut a door if you don’t want it in a particular room. The map is good if you want to set up zones, like living room and hall, diner and kitchen etc or you can just click on a particular room if it’s just one room needing done. The suction power is adjustable and it actually does a pretty good job! I have 3 kids, a messy husband and a puppy. The water section is small, my floors need a good mop so I use it on the wettest setting so it doesn’t do my entire downstairs in one go. But that’s fine, I just either refill it and set it off again or just do my preset zones if I’m not home. The mop on the lowest setting is just like running a damp cloth over the floor. Fine for daily or not such busy homes like mine. And yes you can set it to vacuum, empty it and then go mop with a few clicks of the app! It doesn’t distinguish between carpet and hard floors though so I have to lift my rugs for mopping. Also have to life a long pile shaggy rug as it always gets stuck on there. Now the app is the only reason I haven’t given this 5 stars. It took me quite a few attempts to get it to connect to my WiFi. And just as I was about to throw it out the window in frustration it suddenly connected. See it is clever.I have no idea what I did in the end to get it to work, it just did.And also once my maps were not there when I opened the app. That was fine though as I just clicked auto start and off it went, and remapped on it’s way anyway. Its very gentle when it’s mapping or maneuvering around objects, the lasers make sure it doesn’t bash against furniture, pets or children! It’s also not fussed if there is a big washing basket right in the middle of the floor where there never used to be. It just makes its may around it.The app tells you how much battery is left, but mine only uses about 15% in 30mins at full suction. You can watch the little blue circle on the app making its way around your house, so you know where it is at all times. If it gets lost there is a function on the app for “find my bot”.You also get a remote control and some spare parts in the box with it. Awesome! For the price it’s absolutely fantastic, it does everything and more of some of the super expensive ones, and does them just as well too!Go for it…. order your new best friend.

I was sceptical at first that a robot cleaner would do the job. However, my Pro8 is great for keeping a large tiled kitchen floor up to scratch. Fill the tank, and it brushes up dust and cleans the floor in a remarkedly quick time and then even empties itself! What is not too like?

If you are thinking of getting this, don’t hesitate.Had a slight issue with the dust collection process but the support team helped me resolve this straight away. This vaccum cleaner makes things so much easier, I have it set to go over certain high traffic areas at a set time everyday. The suction power can be adjusted and you can also set rooms/zones on the map.Lots of reviews mention that you can only have 1 map at a time, while this is true, its quite easy to use a previously used map. So you can switch between upstairs and downstairs quite easily.

This Product (M8 Pro) is absolutely amazing! Its solid, strong and goes through everything self-mapping its way through our home. It remembers everything and is extremely easy to use. Literally connect, power on, download app and then let it go do its thing! The first time you must be around to ensure nothing that shouldn’t be in its way i.e. socks on the floor or doors closed, to allow it properly map things out. Once this is done you simply set up no go zones and/or no mop only zones e.g. if you have a rug. Little kids love it too, my little one shouts out Robo as soon as the scheduled run time kicks off!I still haven’t needed to change the dustbin bag yet and the cleaning of the moving parts is very simple and the battery lasts literally for hours and hours and i haven’t ever experienced it running out just yet and my home is an averaged size 4 bed house. Now onto the even better experience…the customer service. Their customer service is absolutely phenomenal. Any issue i have had they have been responsive, acknowledge the problems, find solutions and deliver on their promises. I had an issue with a mop at one point and after running a few diagnostics and checks they sent a replacement mop part which was delivered within 48 hours…!I’m buying another one from them….BUT am also EAGERLY waiting for a Proscenic Robo Lawnmower now!Anyone who has come round and seen the result and seen it in action have purchased one directly!Great stuff team Proscenic!

I’ve recently moved into a far larger house and my previous robot vacuums, which don’t have LIDAR, just haven’t been able to cope.I picked this up as I’d seen some good reviews and it was far cheaper than similar competitor products. It is fantastic. After it’s first mapping run, it can now clean the entirety of the downstairs of my house within half an hour and still have 80% of it’s battery remaining. My previous robots would take their full battery and still not have it complete. The app is easy to use and can easily set up no-go zones or no-mop zones. The mopping itself is a nice addition. Whilst it won’t replace a dedicated mopping robot (or a manual mop), it keeps on top of the worst of it, if used regularly. The ability to change how much water is dispensed is a nice touch and invaluable if you have real wood floors. The final cherry on the top is the self-emptying function. Whilst I’ve always been a fan of the robot vacuum’s, they’ve never been fully autonomous due to needing emptied after each run. This has now changed and my Proscenic has been running without any interaction for over a month now.

After I hit my funny bone on the wall hooving our flat, I decided to purchase it. It was on my trolley for a while and I had researched well before I decided for Proscenic M8 Pro. I have only one comment, it’s a wonderful piece of technology I will buy all robots that save me money and time meanwhile I do what I am good at.

Overall a great device, especially for the price. However, it does seem a bit unrefined.Pros – Does what it says it will. The mapping works well. Gets over objects and can easily transition onto rugs and over door lips. Great price.Negatives – A bit brutish in dealing with low obstacles. Missing some simple extra features. Small water tank. Annoying voice.Buying this was a bit of a shot in the dark. There were no reviews that I could see for the N8 at the time. However, the N7 appeared to be what I was looking for in a Robot Vacuum, so I went for it. I am pleased to say that I’ve not been disappointed with my decision.Out of the box, there are a load of accessories and spare bits. But really, all you need to do it place it on the floor, download the app, pair it to your WiFi, and send it off on its auto clean. Mine came with about 60% charge, which I reckon is more than enough to clean most houses. In fact, it will do a two bedroom flat on about 20%.When you get the app, you immediately get told to download a newer one. Presumably, the new app has improvements over the old one. The app seems good. It shows the laser scanning as it happens and the area the N8 has cleaned. It has quick options for auto clean, mop cleaning, room cleaning, area cleaning and spot cleaning. It also allows you to set up boundaries and schedules, including a nifty option to give some areas two cleans when it comes to them. It should be noted that the N8 seems to need to finish a full auto clean before it will estimate where your room boundaries are for that function. There’s no geofencing for tracking when you leave the house as far as I can see.The reason I liked the N7 was the reviews saying that it was able to get onto thick rugs where others would get stuck. The N8 doesn’t disappoint. It will hop up that rug no problem. In fact, unless an obstacle hits the side of its body, it will have a go at getting through anything – with a lot of tenacity. It encountered a floor mounted door stop and insisted on going back several times because it had a cleaning job to do and no door stop was going to prevent it from finishing. I’ve even found it in a walk-in cupboard with a good 15mm lip. That then provided some amusement watching it trying to get out. However, after struggling for a bit, it seemed to line itself up for a run up at the lip and set its motors to max to escape. Despite this brute force approach of wanting to go everywhere, it has never got stuck (it did cry from help when it dragged a charging cable around the house before eventually getting it clogged in its roller). It also helps that the cupboards have been set as no-go areas now.Once it is done, it trundles to the base station, deposits its dusty cargo and goes to sleep. The charging station didn’t need any configuration. I plugged it in and the N8 found it. It does occasionally seem to forget where the base station is. It once approached it, didn’t like the look of it, tried to find a new one in the bathroom, and then settled on the original location. It mostly operates unsupervised these days, so I do not know if this is its usual activity.Onto the details, the N8 seems to do a good job of vacuuming. I have mostly hard floor with a large rug. The rug is new so has a lot of fresh lint to deposit. The N8 got a lot of this on its first pass, but inevitably filled up so left clumps of it around the house. It is worth noting that the base unit clogged the first time that it tried to collect this and I had to remove the bag to unclog it. However, since then, the remaining clumps have been collected and the rug looks fresh with no more clogging incidents from the base unit.It has a mopping mode that uses the mopping attachment. Once connected and filled with water, the N8 can be sent off on a mopping adventure. It seems to do this well, leaving satisfying mop trails after itself. However, unlike some models, it just won’t go into no-mop areas when the mop attachment is on (which you have to manually designate as no-mop areas). Therefore, I tend to add the mop attachment for a specific mopping special occasion. This is probably for the best, because it seems to run out of water quickly and doesn’t tell you. Likewise, it also has no dust compartment level detection so will keep sucking until it’s done. You can tell it to manually empty itself mid-clean, however.I think it’s quiet. There are various intensities of suckage. However, the standard appears fine and is much quieter than a traditional vacuum cleaner. The base unit does sound like a spaceship launching when it empties, but that’s only for a few seconds.Something worth mentioning is its voice. It will talk to you occasionally to say it’s finished cleaning, etc. However, it has the distortion and clarity akin to a 40 year old speaker. I do find this and the comical English notifications (you get an email saying your “device is binding successfully”) quite endearing and matches the personality I have given it. However, it does make you feel like you’re not getting a premium product. Whereas, it actually does a good job of being a robot vacuum cleaner and deserves more credit.Overall, I would describe the N8 as being a bit coarse in its approach, but it gets the job done and does it well. Considering the price point, especially for models with mapping technology and collection stations, it has been a really satisfying purchase.

Our first robot hoover and we are pleased. We haven’t done hoovering manually since we bought it. Sometimes carpets need a couple of passes but otherwise good. If they made one with a more powerful suction and longer battery life that would be even better.

Works great on large open plan areas with hard surface flooring, creates it’s own maps, allows you to select no-go areas and the schedule means you can leave it to get on with the hoovering and not have to worry about it again.

So simple to set up. Sent it running and it quickly mapped quite a complex downstairs layout and got really good coverage. App is easy to use to either schedule a clean or manually set it running. It’s relatively quiet when running and looks after itself with its self emptying function. A very good product at an excellent price.
