- The controller’s flexible design allows it to be stretched and clamped on a variety of phones and tablets, providing a secure hold that’ll never come loose.
- Unlike wireless Bluetooth controllers which produce lag, this controller has zero latency because it connects directly to your device’s charging port—which means instant button response.
- If your phone or tablet is running low while you’re gaming with the controller still attached, simply hook up a charging cable to the controller itself to get the device charging.
- Cloud Gaming Compatible for Next-Gen Gaming: With the reality of playing AAA releases on any screen, having the controller attached to your device provides a form factor convenient and portable enough to truly game anywhere.

In terms of the buttons & ergonomics, the controller was close to that of using a Switch or Playstation / Xbox controller. I used with a Samsung Galaxy S10e and the fit was good, although I think more tension would’ve been achieved in the elasticated backing on the controller if using a slightly larger phone. It felt a bit delicate in the controller. I was conscience that some potential stress was being put on the USB-C port when moving around and placing on a table for example. Overall, using Google Stadia (Sniper Elite 4), the latency was very low to none BUT even with a decent broadband connection, there were times when there were glitches and loss of connection. I ended up returning the controller as in the end the overall cloud gaming experience was choppy, especially for fast paced games such as Forza on XBOX game pass. Also, the cost of the controller in my opinion is a bit too high at the moment when, for example you can buy a new Dual Shock 4 for less than £50. I think as…

It’s a controller more recent than the Junglecat, and there’s a fair amount to recommend it over that older controller; physically connecting to the phone and allowing pass-through charging, being compatible with more phones than just the few Razer have designed cases for, and it’s probably more suitable for larger hands.
But, seriously, how do you go from the wonderful-feeling d-pad you had on the Junglecat to the mushy, cheap-feeling rubbish on this thing’s d-pad? It’s all one piece, it feels awful and squishy to move. Add to that that this controller doesn’t actually ship with adapters for the Razer Phone 2, and Razer customer support understandably being slower to respond right now (nothing against them, just bad timing, and bad decisions to not offer a variety with the correct grips included), and I have to wonder why I’d use this whilst the Junglecat is still very superior to it.
I guess maybe get it if you don’t have a phone there’s a Junglecat case for, or you hate switch…

Compared to similar offerings (such as the Flydigi Wee 2T) the buttons feel so much nicer. Input delay is kept to an absolute minimum due to the direct USB-C connection.
Note that pass through charging might not work on some Android 9 phones, as I discovered the hard way. When my phone finally got its Android 10 update through, the pass-through charging began to work just fine.
It is recognised as an Xinput controller – just like any Xbox One controller would be. If the app you want to use it with supports Xbox controllers, then this controller will be supported.
It is very comfortable to use and I had no problems at all when using it in a long gaming session.
The analog sticks do not suffer from deadzone issues like some ipega controllers do, which is good news. Some people may find the analog sticks to be ever so slightly stiff when compared to an Xbox One controller. It’s something that can easily be gotten used to. The sticks click inward for L3 and R3 functions, which is…

I really wanted to not like this. At first I bought a faulty one. The left side of the controller wouldn’t work. The controller pulled upward when a charging device was plugged in. Razer customer service took ages for each reply. As well as wanting details of the fault, everything I had done to diagnose the fault, everything I may have done to cause the fault (nothing I have a standard by today’s standards 6 inch android phone), they wanted me to upload a video of the fault to an online video service and send a link to them. I just wanted a timely warranty replacement. In the end I sent the item back to Amazon as more than 10 days of emails was getting frustrating. I would have preferred better Razer service given the cost of the controller is 30% more than I think it deserves to be.
I bought a replacement and have had no issues so far. I have tried joypad phone holders and they felt really unbalanced. They also covered some of the controls if the phone was placed nearest a even…

Received but after a few hours the analog stick started drifting heavily and the dpad started to squeak. Can’t tell you if all are like this but seems shoddy QA.
