Scales perform exactly as advertised, however the manual which comes with these scales is for the battery operated rather than the USB rechargable.
For people buying this in future – Since the manual is as useful as a chocolate teapot,
When you first plug in, you must press the button on the base of the scales in order to turn on (standing on the scales like the manual states doesn’t do anything until you have turned them on using the button for the first time). The scales will show a red battery light while charging and a green light when fully charged.
Once you have it turned on open the app on your phone and create a account. if you have already done this in advance then go to my account, settings, my connected devices and press the + button which will then pair with the scales. If the scales don’t pair then you may need to step back on them to turn them back on.
Use them on a hard floor, barefoot (i do mine first thing in the morning – before breakfast).

Product looks good , and really simple to setup & connect to the app via my android phone. Only had scales for approx 10 days. Used on a daily basis in the mornings – consistent results only minor variations which is to be expected when performing a daily check. Have audit checked results against a commercial Tanita Body composition machine at my place of work (fitness centre) , and so far impressed with the results given by the scales – virtually identical to the athletic mode on the Tanita (which cost several thousand pounds). Hope that the scales have longevity. First impressions – so far so good. Will update in the future after extended usage.

These scales are superb. They are a great way of keeping motivated and learning more about your body. Since buying these I have had 7 friends also purchase some!
When dieting I got to a point where I was losing less and it because a little demotivating, I then got these scales and being able to see different areas to work on made it more motivational again. Seeing fat decrease and muscle increase was great and knowing my metabolic age is where is should be is encouraging.
The figures may not be 100% accurate to a doctor but they do give you a benchmark to work against. So if you weigh yourself at the same time each week and compare figures from the same scales, you can see if you’re heading in the right direction in relation to your last readings!
I strongly recommend this exact listing as it comes with rechargeable batteries which is a nice touch. The old model is replaceable batteries.
App is simple and easy to use and overall this is one of the best purchases I have made in a long time.

I bought these scales due to gym closures and decided to invest in my own I can use and when I want. These are USB powered which makes them great as you don’t have to worry about batteries. For the spec on scale these worked out better than Fitbit’s scale . The mobile app is easy to use and other great thing is that it’s compatible with Fitbit and MyFitnessPal which was awesome. Been using it a few months and has been great to measure my weight and fat on body. Even family members have used it and have found it great as you can set up different profiles on your own phones. I have lost over 4kgs so far and still going strong! Fat reduced below 30%!
I have done a YouTube review which you can see under “USB Renpho Smart Body Scales Review with Fitbit – Unboxing” in YOUTUBE

I have been using these scales now for around a month, and the whole they are pretty accurate. Measurements like body fat percentage and water can only really be used as a guide, however they are consistent so allows you to track body changes effectively.
The unit itself is sturdy, balanced and looks great. The addition of linking to an app is very beneficial, however with the app, the scales are incredibly basic and no better than scales you could buy for far less.
The app is great and tracks trends and progress, keeping data on previous measurements.
The problem lies in the fact that everything goes through the app, even, to my annoyance, setting whether you want to the unit to display in pounds or stone for example. Stand-alone, the scales only display in pounds which is annoying as the UK is used to working in stones and pounds.
The scales are great, but somewhat lacking without use of the app. If you want anything else displayed on the stand-alone unit, these scales aren’t for…
