If, like me, you work in the construction industry, this phone is for you.
Had a Samsung galaxy S10 for about 4 months before dropping it off of the scaffolding at work. Screen obviously broken and bottom third just turned white.
Had a look online for something a little more rugged and found this beauty.
Does everything that the Samsung did. Waterproof and rustproof. And would have to drop it from the top of Everest to break it.
Oh.and the battery life…. Used daily and it needs a charge after three and a half days!!!
Easily worth the £260 that I paid for it.

So the phone is designed to be rugged and lives up to that aspiration, I can say it is waterproof and survives drops. I can be operated through gloves and face detection works well. But the buttons are badly placed with the touch button also being the back button means that app screens jump backwards randomly as fingers get near the touch button. Also, the ’emergency button’ placement means that when you pick the phone up that it gets pressed and has to be dismissed before using the phone. The last annoyance is the lack of software updates and complete lack of response from Doogee support, if you just want to keep a phone on its current OS or have a problem you are very much on your own.
TLDR; If you are a lumberjack this is a great phone, if you just want long battery life and good design, look somewhere else
Update – SIM Holder broke with half left inside the phone, now to see how good the aftersales service is

Overall the phone is good and fulfils its purpose. The build quality feels good and solid. Two programmable buttons are a very useful addition, however they require very little actuation force and can be triggered accidentally.
The camera is not great. It may have been better to have a single sensor of a higher quality. For its price range though, I cannot complain too much. The main selling points of this phone are, after all, its durability and the massive battery.
It is running a near-stock level of android with a few visual UI modifications (navigation bar, quick action buttons). It also has some pre-loaded OEM apps. Some are useful utility apps, while some are clones of stock google android apps. Some of those OEM clone apps (contacts and phone) can have their defaults changed to stock google apps, while others (Calculator and Alarms) cannot. It’s not a big issue, but I personally find it pretty annoying. I had to resort to uninstalling some of the preloaded stock apps via…

It’s ok depending on what you use it for. I expect it to be more reliable. I use it for Amazon delivery. The GPS is wandering aimlessly. When I have to scan the packages, it crashes. At 8 hours of work I have to restart 4 times. The battery is very good. It is strong resistant to shocks and blows. For the process and at 6 gigabytes of RAM, I expect more.

I Was new to the brand and decided to go for a phone with wireless charging. I have an issue with most phones, the micro USB ports break before the actual phone does. comically I went to charge the phone for the first time and as soon as I enable the wireless charge feature it black screened.
The phone is pretty big honestly, too big and too thick as I had to hold the phone with both hands a lot of the time. The case made it so thick that it felt pretty heavy. Any other phone you hold feels very light by comparison. honestly barely got to try the thing out but using for 3 days it was annoying trying to navigate the UI. Not sure if android 10 just changed a few things up or this brand takes a slightly different approach to normal UI layout.
In conclusion, if your looking for a typical android phone that is cheap, look elsewhere.

I’m a courier, I need my phone to do my job, the better its performance, the easier is my work. I used to buy another brand, but as this brand is cheaper, and colleagues said they’re using it and it’s fine I bought it. I’m really satisfied with battery life. Didn’t let me down, it’s really good battery. It seems bit quicker than other brand I was using, which is very helpful. Also rain does not affect the touchscreen performance as much as my previous phones. The only bad thing I can write about this phone is it’s GPS. What an irony, they made a perfect phone for courier job and forgot to give it strong GPS. It’s constantly getting lost, tends to show me I’m miles away from where I really am, satnav is going mad, basically I’m gonna go back to previous brand as soon as I can. If you don’t mind GPS being confused, and you don’t need performance of newest Samsungs, if you’re after a budget phone that is good on battery and has big screen, then it’s for you. Not too good for my work…

Terrible product. The phone itself looks great, but the gimmick lights on the back and the battery are the end of the good things. It is slow, full of bugs, but worst of all the signal it awful. The antenna is clearly not fit for purpose and the WiFi calling feature does not work. Contacted the seller, no reply. Replaced the item with another to give it a second chance, same problem. Both went back, don’t buy it!

I’m quite a big fan of Doogee phones for years now, there were better and worse models I had, but this one so far falls into the very good ones:) will see with time though
