Had to return after a year which was only around 10 uses + it developed a fault where as it wouldn’t allow the lightest of pressure to be applied it would slow right down, gutted as it was great while it was working.
Do not buy fake batteries for these machines i have had several and they are pants, the light indicators lie, they struggle to use the power effectively through long periods of time, they drain fast and eventually won’t charge, initially youll think there impressive untill your tools start underperforming, as dear as they are you have to buy the official batteries that have been vigorously tested for these important tools, chinese knock off don’t throw the power out correctly.
If you do decide to buy this machine keep an eye on any faults and if they crop up contact Ryobi directly who give a 2 year warranty with this product, amazon will allow returns for replacement or refund, i chose a refund due to me buying a high end polisher after this failed.

Bought this to massage muscles etc. as a lifter. Opened the box and no battery – the title says ‘body only’ but I took that to mean it didn’t come with accessories (i.e. buffer pads) as there was an option for accessories (which does not include a battery). Bloody pain and a bit of a scam.

Fantastic buffer, makes the job so much easier and brings the joy back to waxing your car. Totally worth it. Battery could be cheaper and it’s why I’m giving this product 4 stars.

I cannot imagine anyone use this in a professional detailing shop, but it helping a lot for home use if you don’t have a garage with AC. You just need at least 3 4AH batteries to polish a car.

I previously had a corded buffet and when polishing a car the Cord always got in the way and could mark areas I had polished. As I have several other Ryobi one plus devices this one made sense. A 2.4ah battery is enough to polish a whole car and does not add too much weight to it.

Does the job I bought it for , to polish the slab sides on a Motorhome , with no curves of edges as such with the potential to rub through the paint. Only negative I’ve experienced is that getting the cloths over the buffer pad is not the easiest thing I’ve done but with a bit of perseverance they git on . Using a 5ah battery with it seems to give us about 2 hours use

Really nice tool to use. Not too heavy and enough power for the job.
With a 4Ah battery, it seems to go on for ages. Even with the small batteries you get a good 20-30 minutes of run time.

Arrived 5 days ahead of advised. Well packed. I looked at reviews, some positive some negative but as a previous fan of Ryobi products I went ahead anyway. The reviews saying not a lot of power were right but I found if you just let the weight rest on surface it was fine, any pressure and it would slow down. Unfortunately I was disappointed, I found it didn’t make any difference to applying wax buy hand and buffing off. NO BATTERIES. So unless you have batteries not a good buy. I would not recommend this as the price is a bit expensive. I will be sticking to my usual Grease Lightning.
