I have quite few Ryobiโs tools and they are just indispensable, and I was hoping with the patio cleaner wire brush my weeds problem was going to be over.
My disappointment are multiples, first because the wire brush leaves scratching marks and I stopped to use the tool just after few minutes because the scratches marks are awful, please refer to the image 1.
Second disappointment, the manufacture very cleverly used faking images (both in your listing and in your tools cartoon box- please refer to image 2) because I find quite impossible to clean a surface without showing wire brush marks.
Lastly, I looked almost everywhere for wire brush spares and at present there are unobtainable.

Works good but replacement wire brushes are no where to be found. Half our driveway done and wire brush that came with the unit needs replacing. You can only get nylon ones for sandstone. Not useful when you need the wire brush. Called Ryobi and was directed to other companies online for a replacement. Turns out the wire brush was unavailable there as well. Quite disappointed to have the cleaner unit but no way to use it without the replacement.

ย This could be my greatest Ryobi One purchase yet! It’s brilliant and works really well, gone are hours of back-breaking work to clear the pesky weeds that grow up between the stones on my paths around the house. I bought this a little sceptically because I hate doing this job so much and not only does it work as promised, it works brilliantly! I had about 1/3 of my path around my house, which normally takes a full day annually to clear, done and resanded in 3 hours! Fantastic.

The patio cleaner did a good enough job, much more quickly than I could do manually and with lot less physical effort.
I have a block paved patio with what seems like many miles of joins to clean so anyway of reducing the time is welcome.
The downside is that a standard 2.0ah battery lasts only about 10 minutes – if that- of continuous work meaning longs gaps to recharge. I already had 2 x 2.0ah batteries, fully charged, and had to wait around two hour between charges. As time was of the essence to clean the patio I bought a 4.0ah battery with charger to ensure I could complete the job as quickly as possible.
The additional battery pushes up the invested cost considerably so, unless you have a very small area too clean, factor in the extra battery of a minimum 4.0ah – unless you are prepared for a very long, leisurely cleaning session spread over a day or two.

We have a large area of paved patio which takes hours of cleaning with the usual manual wire brush. As hubby gets older, it takes longer and more effort needed which isnโt easy on the ageing bones. When we saw this advertised we sent for it and itโs been brilliant. Light to use, sturdy round wire brush and makes the usual tedious job easier than ever. Easy to charge the battery so top marks from hubby.

I own heaps of Ryobi and most of it I absolutely love. I thought this might have saved me getting the power washer out on the back patio but at best it tickles the floor 1% more clean. Itโs certainly the most ineffective tool I have ever bought.

***Edited to note that this review is for the wire brush patio cleaner Ryobi RY18PCA-0 as for some reason Amazon has attributed it to both patio cleaning products.***
Got a sizable patio and block paved drive that have been a bit neglected. This tool is basically an angle grinder or drill on a stick with a wire brush attached.
The brush is quite wide in comparison to the gap between slabs so don’t expect this to penetrate very deeply into the cracks, however it does work very effectively clearing organic matter which has built up in the grooves created by shamfered bricks.
Cleared most weeds although left a few tough grass roots which I then dug out by hand, didn’t appear to damage blocks or concrete slabs at all.
Reviews for similar products recommend using weed killer a few days prior to using a tool like this which is probably good sense.
Wasn’t too brutal on the battery and operation was very quick.
Only slight gripe is that I’m 6′ with fairly long arms and it was that touch too…

This is a review for the weed removal brush (by my wife)
As you can see from the photo our patio is not the smallest, nor the largest but being small block paving there are a lot of crevices to clean. Unfortunately the weeds had been left to grow too long. Strimming the weeds first helped a lot as they can just become tangled up in the brush.
The battery supplied with this only lasts up to 30 minutes. I had to recharge 5 times but the great thing is the battery does only take an hour to recharge. You may therefore be better if you have an area like this buying one of the longer lasting batteries (check out Ryobi website).
As for the product itself, it worked brilliantly once I realised strimming the top of the weeds off first would help.
Be sure to do a spot check with the brush, the metal one scratched the paving so I ordered the nylon type which worked well although I did have to change the brush half way through as it wore down (to be expected).
You may think the product is expensive…
