After leaving the Samsung from the Galaxy S9 for the Asus ROG Phone (first and second), I’ve decided to come back to Samsung for many reasons. Regular software updates being the key point. Though this doesn’t come with a charger or headset, I have my own anyway so it’s not the end of the world. Still using my original Galaxy Buds. Though there are ups and downs with my experience between the 2 devices, I’m still very happy with the S21 Ultra. Yes, there are caveats (2 day battery in comparison to 3, audio processing not as beefy) but these I can live with.
Update – got my hands on the Galaxy Buds Pro. After a software update, I found that these support it’s own predefined EQ. I’ve set it to “Bass Boost” and has brought my music back to life again. Lastly, I do miss having the notification LED on on ROG Phone 2. But its something that I have to get use to. Not exactly a deal breaker.

I was worried this phone may be too big but it’s only a tiny bit bigger than my 9+ and not too much heavier.
The 9+ was a great phone this is simply tremendous. Awesome battery life, superb screen, very fast and the updates to one ui and android are really welcome.
The camera on this is stunning, I can’t believe how much they packed into this giving an incredible overall package.
Got mine in time to claim some free buds live too which sweetened the deal.

Happily ordered this phone and was looking forward to using it. Got the phone within a day or so, which was great, opened it, turned it on and started transferring from my old phone (S10 512Gb) using switch. First worrying sign, the transfer was taking ages, must be a bad connection or something, no worries, didn’t need the phone for a while anyway so left it running. About 8 hours later, the switch failed as it ran out of space, now that is worrying as I was only transferring about 20Gb of data! Alarm bells were definitely ringing at this point, so decided to download the Samsung Info App and check the serial number (Check youtube, there are loads of videos). Turned out it most definitely wasn’t. Probably had about 8Gb of memory and was a clone. My worry is that people are buying these and then being disappointed thinking the phone isn’t any good.
I got my money back (plus postage) and the seller was responsive after I contacted Amazon themselves, so that wasn’t an issue and I do…

The S21 Ultra is my second return to Samsung in the last five years. The first being the Note 20 Ultra that only lasted a week due to poor battery life in comparison to the OnePlus 8 Pro as clearly the chipset was lacking; however the S21 Ultra is a different beast and on this occasion Samsung have got it spot on. The lack of fast charging in less than an hour and no charger in the box are the only flaws I have found thus far. Truly impressed with Samsung’s effort this time around. Split screen plus watching Netflix, YouTube and Amazon Prime is very pleasing on this device as the audio is spot on. Bixby Routines is a must for every phone and I can only hope this feature develops more each build. Simply put, if you can afford it, get it as you won’t be disappointed.

I had previously owned a Samsung S series phone and so when I decided to buy a new phone I decided to get the S21 Ultra. However, the features of the phone don’t justify the cost. The cameras ( the main reason for buying it) are full of gimmicky features, none of which produce that great photos. The main camera is ok for general shots and the zoom feature is great for up to 30x zoom. However, the colours are too vibrant and not realistic. In particular, blue skies come out too blue. If I am going to pay this much money, I expect far higher quality photographic imaging. I returned the phone to Amazon, but didn’t get any refund as they said that the package was empty upon arrival. I have now bought the Samsung A52 from Currys. The phone is just as good, but a third of the price of the S21 Ultra.

After setup, it works a charm, very easy to work, the only problem I had was Google play store, my updates were not updating, but it took me a few days , going through settings, and now it’s updating so fast , 33 updates in 6 and a half minutes, it’s so fast and plenty of storage

Guys, I have been reading everywhere that people said that the S21 ultra 512 GB version is discontinued, and that made me hopeless to just get the 256 GB.
However, I still searched for the 512 version almost every day.
Two days ago, they appeared on Amazon UK, and I almost couldn’t believe it. I bought it immediately and now I have used it for a day.
Furthermore, I am also scared because many people mentioned overheating problems with the Exynos 2100 and 512 GB versions, and mine is exactly both! (that’s why I bought mine from Amazon due to their strong return policy).
However, I mainly use my phone for Whatsapp video calls for like two to three hours each call, and the S21 ultra barely got warm. It also has a decent battery life, just as other Samsung phones I owned (Note 9, Note 10, Fold 2).
I am so happy and I don’t think I will return this phone.
P.S: I bought this phone to replace my Z Fold 2. I am tired of babying the Fold, it made me less using it, and because I live in Scotland…
