I’ve bought this Samsung T7 500GB with my new Macbook Air with M1 Chip and unfortunately I’m not getting advertised speeds of 1050MB/s of read and write. You can see on my screenshot speeds with BlackMagic Disk Speed Test (tested with USB C to USB C cable directly to Mac). Also when I downloaded Samsung Portable SSD software It couldn’t find my T7 so you can’t lock It with password. This could be because software is not compatible Big Sure OS or M1 Macs. I hope they will fix these issues because I can’t give It more stars than 3.

Works well with Samsung Smart TV as external HDD for recording programs. No ext. PSU so it goes behind TV and powered by TV with no problems.
