I wanted a flagship phone that was small enough to use single handed (swipe typing, etc). I think this is just about the only one that fit the brief. Definitely the only one that did where it also had removable storage and no silly wedge/ punch hole camera.
The headphone jack and dedicated camera buttons are a bonus.
Charging is strange: abnormally fast for the first 50-60% and abnormally slow after that… I know this is how QC3 is supposed to work, but this is extremes of both the fast and slow. Experience tells me that Sony Battery Saver mean this battery will still be strong in 3 years and it easily last two days with moderate use and a day with heavy use (excluding 4k video, which seems to hammer the battery).
There’s a little bit of bloat (Call of duty and some car game, plus some Sony centre stuff), but I’ve been able to disable it all and now I’ve got a reasonable stock Android phone with some awesome camera software (and solid hardware to back it up), not convinced I’m…

Last year I bought the xperia 5 ii and returned it because the selfie camera for WhatsApp video was useless
This year I bought the xperia 5 iii and the selfie camera is useless
Don’t Sony engineers test the smartphone with the most used applications….. what a waste of money and development

First time I have purchased a Sony and in all honesty I am delighted with it, the only complaint I have is the size of the text even on maximum it was to small so downloaded an app which resolved this issue. The camera is quite excellent, love it !. I would recommend this phone without hesitation.
