The Z1 has so many built in features it is awesome, better than most of the other Android based phones I have used.
The 20.7 MPixel camera is so easy to use. I have recently been taking pictures of wildlife in burst mode (taking up to 30 shots as birds fly over)
I have added a 64GB memory card to hold pictures and music.
The sound clarity and quality of the Walkman app is second to none.
Music has deep bass tones when played through the headphones supplied.
I have watched so many movies when travelling, the large screen is perfect for those boring train journeys.

I have even taken pictures under water – awesome.
Can’t imagine why I didn’t buy this phone sooner

I love this phone. I have been using it for over a year now and still love it. The only down side is that its falling apart (which started not long after receiving it). Im sure everyone is aware of the pros of this phone so I’ll give you the cons. The rubber seal surrounding the charging port cover has completely come off so the cover won’t stay closed making the phone non-waterproof. The vibration has broken (apparently a common problem) so it sounds like its grinding a third of the time and another third it just won’t work. The waterproofness limits heat dissipation so it does overheat easily. I mainly wanted the phone for the camera but I can’t seem to get a decent picture out of it (I just want to point and click to take a picture). When the phone first arrived the camera would crash as soon as I opened it but I believe that has been fixed with a software patch now. Sometimes the screen with glitch out and become unresponsive and useless.

Only bought as a temp phone, all you would expect for the price and age of the unit. Still did what I needed to do, just a bit slower, but not a problem.
    Since replaced and sold on.
Excellent service from the seller, got me out of a jam.

Cannot give 5 stars on this as when I purchased it there was a defect with the back glass, it was opening on one of the corners. Then the battery didn’t last more than half a day and when i reached 40% the phone would switch off. So I went to my home town and ordered a new battery and had it changed at a local shop, having the man who changed the batteries to tell me the phone was meddled with and had seals inside it shouldn’t have. He said he broke many back glasses on phone in the attempts to open them but mine came clean off really easy. The battery was swollen. I don’t believe the battery itself got swollen after the phone sat in its original box for the last 4 years, it was switched.

After I changed the battery it worked great and still does. 3 stars for the lack of honesty and a dodgy battery, thankfully the only issue with it!

It’s very fast indeed. The screen is great, and for media it’s the best device I’ve had. I really like the Walkman app, which has excellent equaliser and surround functions, and it comes with surprisingly good headphones. Add in some free movies to download and I filled up the 16gb internal memory pretty quickly, so an SD card is a must, for me.

The camera is a mixed bag, at least to start with. It was one of the main reasons I bought the phone, and I was initially disappointed with the quality of shots I was getting on Auto – smeary, slightly washed-out with the white balance off. But a firmware update fixed the worst of the smudginess, and I also discovered that using the manual mode you can get some really excellent shots in all light conditions. The high-ISO mode is quite remarkable actually. It just takes a bit of effort, and knowing what you’re doing.

I get pretty good wifi signal and good mobile reception (on three) so no complaints there. Download speeds are good too. It’s…

I have been using iPhones since the 3GS and have rarely looked outside of Apple, having several iPods, an iMac and previously owning a Macbook that lasted for over 5 years. The iPhone 5S showed very few of the signs of innovation that put Apple where it is so I decided to look elsewhere.
The screen is excellent and is certainly a competitor for Apple’s retina display. The camera on this phone is excellent, the poor reviews for indoor photos in poor light have some merit, but this is due entirely to the automatic white balance, if photos are taken on manual white balance settings they are still well above what you would expect of a smartphone camera. Battery life is much better than I experienced with previous iPhones, it’s still on a device that is exceptionally energy/battery intensive but lasts much longer than I predicted.
The phone doesn’t feel as big as it looks, when compared to the iPhone or smaller smart phones available it initially looks massive, but in practice it retains…

I loved my Sony Z1 and it died on me this week. I ordered another one, great price, great delivery. Didn’t want to spend a fortune on a new phone, this does what is says on the tin, which is fine by me and if it only lasts a couple of years I’ve not wasted a great deal of money. Would I buy again? Absolutely!

I had a Samsung galaxy S3 LTE on T-Mobile using 3G before i got the Sony Z1. Wow, the Sony knock spots off the Samsung. Its such a great phone. The internet is quicker, i can connect to the web in places where my Samsung couldn’t. Its water proof although i have not drowned it yet. Only gripes i have is that the power button is too small and the volume control ajusts the volume in to big a steps. A song could be to loud, turn it down with one press then it is to soft. Would def recommend.
