I bought this for my lodger to have in his room, and he’s very happy with it. He’s an electrician, and says it’s very user friendly! Energy efficient, quite quiet, cold enough for all his needs. Fully recommended, student bedrooms, lodgers, spare beer/wine fridge in the garage or shed!

Looks great, it’s a lot bigger inside that the outside leads you to believe, think the tardis. Check my photo to see the ease it holdA tall items. The 2 litre bottle also fits in horizontally. The temperature control is awesome and liquid freezes quickly in the freezer portion. My only issue, and it’s a very minor one, is when the temp needs the fridge to automatically adjust, the motor makes a bit more noise than I would like. Although it quickly goes back to absolute silence.

    I thoroughly recommend this product.

We bought this fridge for our son to keep in his room at college as he is a sportsman and never seems to get enough to eat – its quiet enough for use in a bedroom, doesn’t take up too much space, and just the right size to hold a few home cooked ‘ready meals’ a couple of drinks and an ice pack in the tiny freezer section…it does run very cold, but this hasn’t been a problem. The lock is an added bonus as it prevents the perennial issue of ‘food theft’ by hungry students. good buy!

I am self-isolating but other members of my household are not so I have to keep to my bedroom as far as possible. To achieve this I have bought a few appliances including a small kettle and my Eco50 fridge.

Looking for a fridge on Amazon, there were some with very low volume, then there was a gap, and then a bunch with volumes around say 40-50 litres. I considered buying a low-volume fridge, being concerned about the external dimensions. In the end I reasoned that it would not serve my needs, so I went for the Eco50 instead, aware that it would not be ‘small’. I made the right choice, because inevitably I want to store more stuff than I originally expected.

I have it sitting on a desk in my bedroom. I was able to unpack and set it up myself without help. It sits there and does its thing. It is not silent, but I don’t have a problem with it, despite it being only 6 feet from my bed. I needed it. It does what I want. And it is going to be my companion for the next 12 weeks minimum, as…

This fridge is NOT suitable for a home bar should you want ice. I purchased as it states it has an ice compartment. Waited two days and the ice tray I put in was still water. Put ice cubes in there and they melted in a few hours. Contacted the seller for advice and have been ignored. As for the rest of it, it is quite noisy when running until it reaches cool. The thermostat seems to make no difference, it cools drinks but forget your ice. There is quite a loud clonking when it stops every now and again when it cuts out, otherwise just a continuous gurgling noise. On the good side it is quite spacious and the black looks cool in our home bar. Shame we have to fetch ice from the kitchen. Wouldn’t buy again and cannot recommend. There’s far better on Amazon, probably with a seller that cares a bit about their customers.

Ideal for us to take camping with a hook up. Will take 2ltr coke bottle upright and the freezer compartment is big enough for some ice lollies and to make ice cubes

We purchased this fridge to store cold drinks, particularly cartons of cold coffee and non-alcoholic wine that were filling up our kitchen fridge! The door holds two 750ml bottles at a squeeze but another 2 or 3 bottles will lie on the shelf and there is still plenty of room for a dozen or more cartons of cold coffee. It keeps the drinks nice and cold. It has a very quiet motor but sometimes the noise of the refrigerant circulating can be heard. Overall we’re very pleased with this purchase, which we’ve been using for a month now with no problems and I would recommend it.
UPDATE – after 15 months the fridge stopped working. This was out of the warranty period but I contacted SubCold to see if there was an end-user fix for the problem. They arranged for the fridge to be returned at their expense to see if it could be repaired. Unfortunately it couldn’t but they then sent a replacement free of charge. Throughout the process Gemma at SubCold kept me informed. Overall I was really…

Keeps drinks nice and cool, makes a little noise but is definitely bearable though.
Initially, the fridge made very loud noises and kept turning off, so I thought it was faulty. Make sure you leave the fridge to settle for a few hours before using it, the gases inside must have been unsettled during transport.
Otherwise, I am quite pleased, I would recommend putting it on the carpet or a pad to muffle the sound a little bit as well.
