Initially I thought the mat looked a little too small, and as a ‘born again’ mouse user (after many years just relying on a track pad) I have waited 2 months to write this review to see how it measured up during day to day usage. I have been very pleasantly surprised! I am definitely a convert to the slightly smaller size (in comparison to the standard old plastic-y coated rectangular mats I had used in the past) this mat measures 17cm wide at the wrist support end increasing to 21.5cm at it’s widest, with a length of 16.5cm ‘mouse space’ plus an extra 7cm for the wrist support and is spot on for my purposes (I work on my computer all day between my accountancy and map analysis work online). I have never ‘run out’ of mat space and had to move the mouse, the tracking is very accurate and smooth due to the fabric-y texture of the mat’s surface and the mat is very comfortable to use for long periods because of the gel wrist support. I would say however that my mouse (and hands!) are…

Liked:
– Good quality for the price
– Reasonable area for working (not for gaming though)
– Wrist support
– Anti-slip backing
Disliked
– This is just nitpicking but if the area can be slightly larger then this would be perfect
I had a normal mat whereby it offers a big surface for the mouse. However after a prolong period of photo and video editing, I found that my wrist posture is not right and as a result, I was feeling discomfort the next day.
I came to amazon to look for one that could help and saw this with high rating. I thought with the price, what’s worst. So far, I found this to improve my posture and as a result, I don’t have the same discomfort anymore which I put it down to the mat. The non-slip backing is also very useful IMO.
All in all, a good value mat if you have a specific need for one.

This is a first class mouse mat. It has a good gel support pad and and a reasonable mouse working area. It’s more rectangular in shape than many others, and this provides a greater movement area for the mouse – and I’m using a full size Kensington mouse.
By design, the mat tends to ‘stick’ to the desk surface, so it rarely slips or moves around. However, if it’s lifted off the desk, it’s very floppy and behaves like a demented jellyfish!
All in all, a good quality and reasonably spacious mouse mat that can be recommended.

I spend a lot of time using a mouse on my PC and wanted to get some wrist support to ease the strain on my hand. I have a few TechNet products – including the mouse on my PC – and they are always well-made and good value. This gives good support and is definitely helping my wrist. However, it’s bigger than I was expecting and takes up fair bit of desk space – and I think it could be slightly narrower and still work as well.

This mouse mat is clearly well made and decent quality. The non-stick bottom is effective, the top is smooth. Where I think it falls flat is in two regards. The wrist rest is NOT very supportive, or very tall – it’s not as tall as my 10 year old one that I binned when I got this – I wish I hadn’t binned it. this wrist support could be a half cm taller, or perhaps firmer. I don’t have a large hand, and it just doesn’t seem enough for all day comfort.
The only other problem I’ve had with this mouse mat is the smell! after nearly 2 weeks this mat STILL has a terrible, chemical smell to it that can be a bit overwhelming.. I’m going to try and wash it in the sink and I hope it goes away.. you can almost taste the solvents gassing out of it.

Decent enough mouse mat with wrist support, unlike some other wrist supported mouse mats that have solid support, this is a softer, squishier one that I personally prefer.
While it says gaming mouse mat, sure it can be used for that but I think the mat area is too small if you’re wanting to do flicks or if you use low sensitivity mouse setting.
The bottom of the mat is nice an rubberised so it won’t slide around.
The wrist support works best if you have your seat height adjusted properly to your desk height in proportion to your body so that your arms are flat and level to the desk. If your seat is low and your arm/wrist is already bent in relation to the desk then using the wrist support cause it to bend more which isn’t good.

I was after a small mouse mat, with gel for my wrist, for a small area. I reviewed quite a few but this mat stood outbecause of the size and the depth of the gel wrist rest.
I ordered two. One in black, one in purple. One for work, one for home.
They arrived quickly. Perfect size for the area I needed it.
If you need a small mouse mat. I recommend this one.

I found this ideal for working with my desktop set up at home and the quality was acceptable. I found the surface area / size of the pad to be fine, even with a large ergonomic mouse. Possibly, you might need bigger if you are using a very large, high resolution screen for media work. With 22″ widescreen HD screen, I found no problems, even with Excel sheets and Photoshop.
The pad is foam, not gel, as other have observed but for the money, I am not complaining. It gets five stars for value.
