I was largely sceptical buying network equipment of this nature from a supplier I’ve never heard of before on the internet. However I took a punt based on the very low cost compared to the traditional network manufacturers and the specifications on offer. I’m glad I did.
It comes with everything you need to get it started. This includes the two powerline adaptors and an ethernet cable to connect it to your router. Our apartment’s plug layout is universally pretty stupid and so I had to situate the first adapter further away from the router than I’d like with an overly long ethernet cable but it worked immediately. Setting the second up was fairly easy. It registered the network over the wall power cables immediately; cloning the wifi took a little longer as the instructions are slightly different to how you actually use it but I got the hang of it fairly quickly. Taking it into the bedroom a few minutes later, low and behold it works. Some older wifi devices do see two wifi networks…

Do not hesitate. It really is plug and play. Take a lan cable from your router and plug it into the master adapter. Plug the master adapter into the wall. Then take the other plugs and plug them in anywhere in the house/office. Turn the power on at the wall. Its done. Your new extended lan and wireless network is visable and available. Try use Cat 7 cables to get the best through put from the router to the master adapter. Realise that you wont get conenctivity nearly as good as from the main router, but it is still good. A working example…. From my router in the living room you will get 200mb. In my master bedroom upstairs and to the right the wireless signall is weak and intermittent. I watch a lot of netflix and amazon prime. Its a drag when the quality goes in and out or when the signal drops. Its a bigger drag to keep reconnecting your TV to the wireless network. Now with this system I put an adapter plug by my TV and connected it via the lan to my TV with a Cat 7 cable. It…

I am really impressed by this power line kit. We have an old cottage with thick walls. Wifi coverage was poor, only usable at one end of the house. These have sorted it brilliantly!
They were easy to set up, but I could not set up the cloning – the instructions did not mention it. Trial and error found the solution. “Press the clone button on the transmitter, then dash upstairs to the router and press the WPS button”. Sorted! Secure WiFi all round the house.
Can’t recommend them enough!
Good service too – I recently had an email from the supplier giving instructions how to clone the wifi. Obviously others had the same problem.

I got this in order to provide WiFi in my workshop which has its own power distribution box and is at the end of a 30m SWA cable under the garden. Initially I mis-understood the instructions and expected the device to simply extend my in-house WiFi providing the same SSID and password but it either canโt do this or I couldnโt work out how to do it. However I simply used the SSID and password associated with the device and it work brilliantly, I canโt actually notice any speed difference. Note the part that needs to be plugged in next to you in-house WiFi needs to be connected via a cat 5 cable (supplied but quite short) to the WiFi router.

Well I read the reviews, no bad to read though not many either so it was somewhat of a chance. A chance I’m glad I did…it took longer to unpack the adapters (that’s Amazon packaging for you) than it did to have it working, absolutely simple.
Just as a comparison before having this plugged in downstairs the PlayStation slim pro download was 41 mbps, upload 4. After it was 65 and 7.2 respectably so it has done the job I primarily needed it for. The WIFI has improved also so around an excellent choice and well worth the money compared to other well known brands. Give them a chance, your be happily surprised.

Wow. Brilliant. Performance is fantastic, setup could not be easier. Plug in one, connect to router, plug in the other somewhere else in the house, connect to (in my case) gaming laptop and within seconds I am getting rock steady and consistent 53Mb/sec download speeds. I use a Sky Q fibre max router, and that’s within a whisker of its maximum guaranteed download speed. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I got this because I was unable to watch anything on my firestick due to hardly any wifi signal in the bedroom.
This has solved the problem 100%. Now firestick says I have a very good signal. Very easy to set up but make sure you reboot the firestick afterwards so it can find the new ( cloned ) wifi.
Also as amazon lump all the reviews for all the Tenda in one place you could easily ( like me ) order the wrong model.
PH5 is for wireless or cable, PH3 is without wireless, cable only.
So far very pleased with this item.
