I have put my old steamer to the back of the cupboard since getting this, it’s so easy to use and has many options.

I put my veggies in and set it to 40 for 5 minutes and the steam release to autoquick and they come out nicely done every time.

While it’s working away I can sit down and know when they are done and the bonus is the lack of condensation in my kitchen.

This item is great and cooks well but after only 12 uses the stop/cancel button is starting to fail. After this short cycle of uses its obviously very cheaply made for such an expensive product compared to others on the market. The manufacturers customer service is appalling and despite them claiming it has a 6 year warranty they are trying every trick in the book to avoid fixing something faulty or not fit for purpose. Button intermittently stops working after only 12 uses but they say its cosmetic damage and not covered. Shameful!

I really wanted to understand how much this appliance costs to run.

Response from Sage: “All materials and compounds including the power ratings, used in the manufacturing of Sageยฎ products are considered proprietary and may not be disclosed.”

I love the product but the red seal on the valve (despite great care) has already worn off after just over two months of use. I wouldโ€™ve written first to the seller about this but the Amazon interface doesnโ€™t allow this now that the returns window has passed. Basically, a new valve nut with red seal is needed ๐Ÿ™

Bought as a replacement for a rice cooker and decided to go for this model to have the pressure cooking option. It takes slot to get a new appliance into my kitchen but I am so glad I went for this. So easy to use, that I have barely used my hob or oven. From casseroles, soups and risotto to whole chicken, everything has come out brilliantly. Instructions are straightforward, controls are intuitive. Although some reviews say the recipe book is sparse, itโ€™s really not that bad and you can find plenty of recipes online or adapt existing recipes with minimal fuss. Canโ€™t wait to try more recipes.

It has worked really well for two and a half years and now it doesnโ€™t ! It was the most expensive piece of kitchen equipment I have ever bought and I was so pleased with it . Then it just stopped heating up so no pressure . I called Sage and then tried all the solutions they gave me to try to solve the problem but nothing worked . So finally they said they would pay 50% of a new one but they are twice the price of all their competitors and I canโ€™t afford for it to only last another couple of years . They donโ€™t repair them or have any other solution apart from buying a new one .

I have only ever used wooden spoons or plastic spatulas and soft sponges on the bowl of this rice cooker.

Nevertheless, after a year or so of regular use, the teflon is clearly coming off in multiple places.

The fact the teflon is coming off so noticeably in certain areas, makes me think these bowls just shed teflon all the time and it’s mostly just not noticeable.

Teflon and all the PFOA ”forever” chemicals are poisoning the planet, and virtually every single human body on the planet, and they’re no joke. Consumers need to start demanding responsible and safe merchandise from companies – not cheap and convenient-to-clean stuff like this.

It’s not acceptable. We, consumers, should have to eat trace amounts of teflon just to cook a meal, and neither should the planet have to put up with this. Replacement bowls are available but these are out of stock from Sage – and also, I don’t particularly want to use such low-quality teflon bowls anymore.

    I’m currently searching for a replacement…

The media could not be loaded.

ย Itโ€™s incredible but real how fast a job itโ€™s finished! We cooked first time a lamb shank. It was absolutely melting in just 1 hour. After reading carefully the instructions still took a second try to fix properly the lid!
It was supposed to press a little bit more on it before rotating clock wise to fixing the steam hole properly!
Anyway the device told us in 15-20 minutes after preheating faze that the lid is not fixed properly and we did it again! We made rice, puddings and we are continuing to use it as all itโ€™s healthier and not at all messy and obviously simple.
