First time I cooked in a pressure cooker and food came out delicious it was done in literally no time at all. I wasnโ€™t sure about buying this initially because I knew nothing about pressure cookers except that they can blow up and hit the ceiling. That is what I witnessed when I was younger while watching my cousin cook. The seal ring of hers was damaged which is why that happened and it put me off buying one ever since. Well anyway I decided to finally get one and with some trepidation cooked my first meal while standing near the exit door ๐Ÿ˜‚. I must say Iโ€™m very happy with this cooker and I feel it will last for years. It is the perfect size for me, I have a family of four. However I have younger children who arenโ€™t big eaters I would probably recommend one size up for four adults. I love the fact this came with the steaming basket as well bcoz a lot of the others donโ€™t.

I use my 6 l pressure cooker often and this was a good option when needing to cook smaller batches .
the first thing i noticed was the red pressure indicator doest move much and its hard to see if the pot is pressurised or not,I also put my other pot into a sink of cold water to quickly reieve the pressure for fast opening ,just seconds .this pot takes minutes to do that.Itr also takes much more power to heat on induction and takes a lot longer to get to pressure , it does however hold the pressure well,my old pot takes a simmer on number2 and this one needs to be on at least a 7.
so onto the magnet test ,the bottom and rim of the pot the magnet holds strongly but the sides of the pot have almost no reaction to the magnet, and whilst the lid is stongly magnetic it now has rust marks after only one use ,Im afraid I have to return it.

tower are a trustworthy brand. been around for years. very pleased with this cooker. if your new too pressure cookers. I would really recommend you watch some online videos first. inside there are minimum medium and high water markers so you cant go wrong. a nice little steamer tray. so you can put on top minimum water level. and put on top a metal heat proof plate and steam dumplings and such foods. although it has a pressure release setting. I would suggest you let the pressure go down after you remove it from the cooker. plus it finishes the cooking process. don’t worry if the metal inside looks slightly odd after a few uses. my grandmas and mums old school pressure cookers always did that. look after it. should last years.

The cooker is just the right size for a family of 3. The wider shape makes it much better to saute / cook normal as well. This 3 litre cooker is not too heavy also for a daily use. With regards to durability – will have to use and see.

I bought it mainly to cook pulses soft, as I found soaking and hob cooking alone insufficient at getting them down soft enough for my liking. This pressure does the job brilliantly. To ensure the dishes retain lots of flavour, I only cook the pulses with water in this pressure cooker. Then I fry the other seasoning and additional ingredients in another normal cooking pan, like for instance the onions, garlic, spices, tomatoes, potatoes, etc. I cook for a family of 5 who eat adult portions (I’ve got 3 teens and a husband) and this 3L pressure cooker is adequate for cooking the amount of pulses my family requires for a meal. I think it would be just about big enough as well if I wanted to cook the entire dhal dish in this pressure cooker, but I’d never do that as I don’t think it would be as flavourful to cook an entire dish in this. It’s great, works as it should, absolutely no leaking or anything like that, and because I only cook the pulses in water in this pressure cooker, there…

Was slightly worried about steam escaping from handle but this happens then the red button flicks up and it stops .. itโ€™s the way it works.. in my old one you would need to be careful about hitting high heat too quickly but this one can handle it.. easy to clean not putting in dishwasher .. good sturdy unit no problems so far

I bought this product just before Christmas as a household prezzy – sadly although it worked at first the third time I used it is was not working. I was an unhappy bunny could not find out how to return it. Emailed Customer support who ordered me a new one straight away and sent me an address form with code and told me how to return it.

    I did so.

The new one came promptly and is as wonderful as I had hoped – made a goulash soup in total with prep in less than an hour. Has cook lentils well. I hoping that this one will carry on working for a long time turning out the easily cooked and tasty food Iknow that it can

I don’t regret getting this pressure cooker, it’s very quick at cooking veg and pieces of meat [e.g. pork shoulder] it just takes a little time to get used to how long it takes to reach pressure and then how short a time to cook it for. I did get a very good book which has a list of all the timings in [from Amazon] and this helped a lot.
Unfortunately the marks on the dial are black printed on black and you need a very strong light in order to be able to see them. It would have been better to have them printed in white so they would be easier to read whilst you are getting used to how the pressure cooker works.
