Keeps disconnecting while the BT router is working just fine. I have to turn it off, wait, then turn it back on again for it to work.
Worth searching for something more reliable, from another brand, if at all possible.

Right then. I have broadband which is supposed to be between 13 and 17mbps and have always run my PC and my boy’s XBOX on wifi.
We have had problems for ages with being kicked from online gaming with pings of 999 and also my son getting lag every time I used the PC.
I ran a speed test and the wifi broadband would fluctuate between 4.3mbps and 13.8mbps constantly, hence, I bought this, on the advice of my friend.
I plugged it in and paired the devices, then using the supplied cables connected my router to my PC, all in the space of ten minutes. (The operating instructions are easy and straightforward to follow.)
I can only say that within minutes my signal settled at 15.8mbps and has remained in that region, XBOX or no. It remained stable after dropping out just once whilst settling and my web pages now load at a better speed than ever before.
So good that the same night I ordered a second set and now my Son’s XBOX is wired in too. He has reported no lag issues at all.

Taking it Easy –
I purchased both a TL-WPA4220KIT and TL-PA4010KIT as part of the same home WiFi solution. As such, I have given the same review for both purchases.
We have a long thin Victorian house with a BT HomeHub-5 in the front lounge. We have a โcopperโ connection to the BT exchange as fibre is not available in our area of London yet. That said, we usually get a reasonable 9-10Mbps connection. Our problem is that we cannot get usable WiFi coverage in the kitchen at the rear of the house.
We initially tried to use WiFi signal extenders but these proved slow and unreliable. So, about 3 years ago I purchased an AV500 PowerLine solution from SAGEMCOM. This included a PowerLine WiFi extender in the kitchen. This proved to be adequate though we did need to reset all of the adapters about once a month when things โlocked upโ. Then, a month ago, the WiFi adapter in the kitchen handed in its cards and died.
Thinking I would try for a higher-tech solution I purchased a WiFi Mesh solution on Amazon….

Great for getting internet into rooms that just don’t reach with wi-fi just plug one into wall socket near your hub, connect to hub with cable supplied, plug the other into wall socket in room you need internet connect to desktop or laptop with cable supplied and away you go.
This set is for cabled connection but you can also get wireless versions that are just as simple to setup, I used them to set up my games console in a room in the far corner of the house and now have perfect game play no more connection loss, very happy gamer.

I realise this is a review 1 year after purchase but both these units have now failed. Bear in mind they were both plugged in and saw regular use, you’d still expect more than 12 months from them. Basically I think that constitutes the poorest quality imaginable. I’d like to think I was unlucky but for both units to fail is more than bad luck. I think they burn out with too much use, whatever too much is meant to mean, all they’re doing is transferring data at home. Both were plugged into separate wall sockets. Hopeless really.
