I decided to ignore the reviews for this item where people had said the microphone either didn’t every work or stopped working very quickly. In good faith I hoped the this was just the odd few with a fault. Sadly we received our headset today and after less than 20 minutes of use, the microphone has stopped working. My son was so excited to be able to play fortnight with his friends and join in their conversation and he even used his own money to boy the headset…. he is 9 years old and now very upset. I will be asking for a full refund and will look for another headset and take into account the reviews this time. This is the first time I have ever reviewed an item so that should paint a good picture of my disappointment.

From the get go these worked sporadically and there was me thinking it was a SW issue with XBOX ONE. Not so. I tried other headphones and all worked perfectly. This is the 3rd pair of gaming focused headphones; all were crap. Moral of the story don’t spend ยฃ30 and expect to get good ones.
Small –
The sound from these little beauties is great. For the price I would not have expected anything better.
They do warm your ears up a little, but thats always going to happen with over the ear cans. Sound quality is good too, letting me hear sounds I didn’t know were even there when gaming. I haven’t listened to music with them, just gaming on the PS4.
They don’t need any power source, just plug in to the audio jack at the back of the controller, such a blessing.

Lad wanted them for gaming and loves them.
He can’t hear anything when they are on – you can walk into the room and shout “It’s tea time” and you get nothing.
Proper jumps when you poke him….
He’s said the sound is clear and the chat quality is good.
EVERYONE on the chat can hear it’s tea time…. just not him…. lol

This is probably the best headset Iโve ever used. Itโs comfortable, has decent-quality sound and the wires donโt usually get tangled even if you just thrown the headset around! Another thing is is that itโs also cheap. Very cheap for a good headset! Iโd definately recommend to anyone who is a gamer as the microphone is also good quality! I donโt usually find a lot of cheap, good-quality microphones nowadays. Itโs quite durable, itโll take a lot to break it (unless you of course apply pressure which you can only do by purpose) so overall, itโs good, no downsides!

Crap. Not our first turtle beach purchase, bought several. Never last long, always have issues with the wire or connection to controller. Donโt waste your money buying this brand. Turtle beach also couldnโt care less. Got in touch several times regarding headsets and never got a response. Bought for 10 year old son who in all fairness looks after his stuff and has been left devastated when these donโt work. Donโt bother avoid disappointment

Brilliant for the price. Bought one pair for myself and another for my brother. Changes your ps4 gaming experience if you play a lot of shooter games, COD, fortnite etc. You can hear enemy footsteps and which direction they’re in.

This is just a standard 3.5mm headset, which can be used with any device that accepts a 3.5mm plug. It’s advertised as being compatible with Xbox One controllers. As I’ve subsequently found out, the controllers we have require an adapter, which costs more than the headset itself.
The wording in the advert point to Xbox One compatibility, but you need to dig deep into the words in the description to find that it may or may not be compatible, and even then it’s not clear exactly what is meant by this.
If you’re going to advertise something that’s Xbox One compatible, surely you should include any necessary adapters to ensure that the advertising claims are upheld?
