One small nit. Theres a single on/off button, then you have to press the “Function” button for one of the two plates, THEN actually set the power. Why isn’t there just an on/off for each plate? It’s 3 presses to get it running, when for most situations 1 should do the job.

I really wanted to like this – I’ve used a single induction ring and loved it. The main problem is that the warning of overheating comes on very quickly so it is not possible for example to cook potatoes or fry any meats. It might be good for warming up food at low temperatures. Otherwise the most colossal waste money. It is easy to clean.

Its easy to use and I love the look and the fact there’s 2 plates. I cook on an oil burning stove which makes the kitchen too warm in summer so this is perfect for me. It’s a pity however that the temperature on left hand hob does not go down low enough to permit simmering.

This hob is great, turning it on was tricky at first, you have to hold your finger on the touch button. It is, as other reviews have said, fairly noisy, but that doesn’t bother me as my extractor hood is quite noisy so they go well together! The right hand side doesn’t get as hot, up to 1000w, the left goes up to 1600w i think, but i don’t really understand the numbers, I keep pressing up and down and changing the functions until things boil, or not. There isn’t really a simmer, unless it is a very low simmer, goes from one extreme to the other, but maybe i haven’t found the knack yet. This hob replaced one that was only a one ringed hob, and having 2 rings is brilliant (our oven hob is broken, but the oven works and as we are replacing our whole kitchen next year this is a stop gap). I recommend this hob, it is brilliant, especially for the money.

I initially bought this hob to try induction cooking as a temporary item before buying a full size work top one. One year in I still use it daily and have not even thought of buying a full size hob. It is just that good. It is a little noisy if you have a quiet kitchen but it is not louder than extractor fan.
This hob has 2 power scales – you can set heating in watts or temperature. Only the two lowest settings do intermittent on/off operation. Other settings do continuous variable power output if that makes sense.
Cleaning is easy. In fact I cover hob with a paper towel every time I cook so all the mess gets on the towel. Yes you are reading right. Cooker sends heat to the pan through the paper towel but the paper gets barely warm. The magic of induction baby!

I bought this as we’re having our kitchen done and need a temporary solution. We’ve had induction for 8 years so no issue with having induction pans. For the money this is great value but having tried it out today I can already tell you the noise of the cooling fan is going to annoy us. With our usual built in induction hob there is no noise whatsoever so I wasn’t expecting any with this and therefore I’ve rated this 3 stars as people should go into this purchase aware of the noise.

We bought this for camping at sites where an electrical supply is available. It makes cooking much more convenient than gas, and it’s quicker, safer, and easier to set up. It’s also far easier to keep clean and much, much cheaper than gas – especially if the electricity isn’t metered, which it usually isn’t. Needless to say we treat it with a great deal of respect when packing and transport it in it’s original box.

I bought this because, in my rental house, the hobs are very updated but I didn’t want to but and integrated induction hob. The product is good but it lacks several options that will make it great:
1. you have to turn off both hobs when you finish using one, even if you haven’t finished with the other. This is because there is only one power button and no “0” option
2. is loud
3. a system base on numbers is more intuitive that temperature/power as most recipes speak of low/medium/high fire.
4. Once the timer is set, you will lose it if you want to lower the power/temperature, which rends it unusable.
