ASUS & Other Laptops

If you don’t need the high resolution and vibrant colors of a 16″ monitor, you’re better off going with the Dell XPS 15 (9510) or the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 4, which offers comparable performance to the Asus Vivobook Pro 16X, though from what we know starting prices, can be a bit more expensive. Overall, the Asus Vivobook Pro 16X is a decent laptop its OLED display is great for a photo, video editing, and content viewing. While the Vivobook Pro’s display and lightweight design stand out, the Pro 16Xs compromises too much on its webcam and audio output. The Vivobook Pro 16X’s 720p webcam is the most powerful but produces grainy images and video.

Among the Acer and ASUS laptops, I’d rather have a better display than slightly better performance and better battery life. Compared to other budget laptops I’ve tested recently, including the IdeaPad 3 15 and Acer Aspire 5, the VivoBook 15 is the best combination of pros and cons. The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15 and the VivoBook 15 perform about the same, but the Asus laptop’s extra features put it ahead of the Lenovo device. The Asus Vivobook Pro 16Xs outperformed its competitors in multi-core performance, but fell behind in single-core performance, beating the Microsoft Surface Laptop 4 with the AMD Ryzen 7 4980U processor by 1173.

The 16-inch Asus Vivobook Pro 16Xs, it’s easy enough to carry around if you can find a decent bag to put it in. While the Asus ROG Zephyrus M15 GU502 isn’t cutting edge, its specs are suitable for graphics-intensive gaming and its battery can last a while, making it the best Asus laptop if you’re not looking for a full-featured machine. In our review of the Asus VivoBook Flip 14, the laptop was rated 4 out of 5 stars for its strong performance and a large selection of ports. We now live in a world where ยฃ500 for a laptop is considered a โ€œbudgetโ€.

The Verdict

So in conclusion, I will say is an excellent budget device for students and professionals whose workload does not require much computing power.

If you’re buying an inexpensive laptop for writing essays and drafts, the VivoBook 15 should be easy enough to get used to. If you only need this device to write, watch or stream videos, or surf the web, give it a try. Don’t buy the VivoBook 15 hoping for a gaming laptop; Intel UHD graphics don’t have the power needed for anything but very light gaming.

With a 15.6-inch FHD display, this particular model typically costs between ยฃ450 and ยฃ550, putting it firmly in our best budget laptop collection.
