I didnโt know much about this brand before, but itโs very well made. It does respond quickly and easy to use. Camera works well but the picture quality is not the best. The screen quality is great. The keyboard feels nice to use. I havenโt had any issues with this laptop. I think itโs well made, and powerful.

I had the previous version Corebook X for 3 months, but sold it as it was overheating. However decided to give CHUWI another go, and it seems that has been addressed with the upgraded CPU, RAM & SSD. The only problem I can see arising is battery performance which is why I haven’t gone for 5 stars, but with the 2K display and being under ยฃ500 you can’t go wrong.
Also, this laptop is available for under ยฃ400 I believe on their website however I didn’t want to risk ordering from China so I decided to pay a bit more and get it on here.

Overall I’ve been impressed with this, the screen is very good, crystal clear and good with darks and movement for videos and movies.
Starting with the case, it’s sturdy, thin and has a nice smooth powdered finish to it, it has the name Chuwi on it which I like for its film character reference. The tilt hold the angle well while being moveable and the screen folds back flat to 180 Deg. The slight issue for UK keyboard layouts is the keyboard has the American ” and @ symbols the wrong way around but strangely you do get a rubberised keyboard overlay that sorts that, amazingly the overlay stays put no problem and feel really nice to type with, I was surprised I liked it so much.
It’s got an Intel i5 inside which along with the rest of the specs works nicely and can go through basic functions without any lag, it didn’t however cope well with movie playing, I tried streaming on Disney and TV shows were fine but movies in the larger format were not watchable with jumping, sound lag and…
