What I expected after seeing it before buying and reading the reviews. Fabulous viewing experience. Had my old 65” Samsung side by side over Xmas we setup two race stations for F1 on the Xbox in 4K: the colour and clarity is really noticeable and the refresh. I guess size wise from 65 to 77 isn’t that much so didn’t necessarily feel the benefit of the jump in size. It’s expensive in contrast to my Samsung series 7 RU7100 65” which was only £500 but isn’t the equivalent in Samsungs defence still I like the Samsungs I have two of them, feature lacked for the price. Granted LG is smarter and so much nicer to look at in terms of colours deep back are so deep colours crisp. More gaming features and less input lag and supports 120hz and GSync free sync if you attached your pc. Not connected mine as of yet but will give it a try at some point, don’t feel a huge need as it’s near the specs of a good gaming monitor but then again they’re not 77” so it’s hard to compare. It’s about as good as it gets without spending a whole lot more. Does it justify the money, I’m not sure, this TV was 5k when I first looked at it but it’s halved in price. Something I wanted for my cinema setup along with Dolby atmos so I’m happy with the purchase and waited a long while. Could it be cheaper, absolutely! Would I wait if I have good 75 already, yes just to see if the price falls a little more.

The picture quality is outrageous, and the size… my goodness, its a big boy and yet thin as heck, alsothe smart tv stuff does the job, especially coming from a chromecast with google tv, the large ads didn’t really bother me, and the gaming performance, WEW LAD this thing absolutely smokes every TV I have had in my life, and all but my newest gaming monitor (and I should hope so).It IS expensive, but frankly its a zero compromise set up of my dreams and I can see me being very happy with it for years to come.

Every time I use it, it blows me away. Effing stunning. You have never seen light on a screen like this. And the blacks… I never knew I had it so bad on my old 4K lol. Seriously worth it and this was a huge purchase for us. Pretty bummed it’s £300 lower a month later but we wanted it for Stranger Things 4 and it did NOT disappoint. One thing that may not be mentioned a lot is the sound. I don’t know what wizardry is at play but being somewhat hard of hearing, this is the ONLY TV I haven’t either needed a separate speaker system for, or have turned way up. It’s on volume 17 ffs and I hear it perfectly! Crazy. The glare is worse than some reviews will tell you. We actually planned for that and have blackout curtains and lights off as needed. We had to work out the balance of amazing HD and what I call ‘soap opera’ effect… TOO real-life. My brain needs some separation for shows and movies, and it doesn’t appreciate seeing every pore or glued in hair of a wig lol. But we managed it and OMG am I glad we invested in this. I was skeptical but now I am OLED crazy! Do your eyes a favour and buy this. No soundbar needed.

You won’t be disappointed, LG, the best TV!

I purchased this, after reading from many PC gamers that this TV makes for an awesome OLED, 120hz, 4k, Gaming Monitor.Mine is the 48″ version, and even that is a bit too big for a monitor, would have preferred the newer C2 – which comes in a smaller 42″, but wasn’t released at the time of my purchase. After getting a HDMI cable that was capable of 4k, 120hz, HDR, etc.. I connected up my PC, set the TV HDMI input to PC, and set my PC desktop to PC 3840×2160 – this is the important step, NOT to set it to 4k, but to PC 4k mode – which gives you that specific 3840 resolution.I set the LG to use Game Mode, and Game Optimiser, so you get low latency, VRR to ON, and nVidia’s G-Sync. Everything looks amazing, smooth – if you can hit the fabled 120fps at 4k, while HDR looks amazing on games that take advantage of this.So far, every game I own, and have tested, looks, and runs amazing. Colours pop, thanks to HDR, while blacks are a gorgeous black, not dark grey. Brightness is also amazing, but the TV will try to keep protecting itself by lower brightness, at times when there is a static screen – such as browsing the web, or on Amazon.I have to say, because it’s 48″, I am sat right in-front of it, and it can be a little overwhelming, due to it’s sheer size. Would hate to try anything larger, that would be better for gaming from a few feet away.Things that I don’t like include the stand, it’s one of those stands that runs almost the length of the TV, and this would make it impossible to put a Soundbar in front of it. The stand also makes it difficult to run cables around to the back of the TV, such as my keyboard and mouse cables – they need to be long enough to get around the stand, and down to my PC – this obviously won’t be a problem for those who prefer wireless. The remote is a marmite remote, and I know some don’t like the LG pointer. One issue with it is if you own two LG TVs. I also own a LG Nano 55″, and the C1 remote will switch on, and off my Nano TV. This is a right pain, because the Nano is my main TV and in the same room as the C1, and my PC. So I now have to have the C1 remote point in the opposite direction to the Nano, but still able to control the C1.The thinness of the C1 is unreal, it’s like a piece of glass, and makes the Nano look fat in comparison – even though the Nano is also fairly thin. And the weight, for a 48″, isn’t too bad.I cannot comment on what this TV is like as an actual TV. I don’t plan on watching movies or TV on it, although I can use my PC to play 4k HDR material – which does look impressive.Overall, a lovely TV, looks good, OLED picture is amazing, and needs to be seen in the flesh to appreciate it. You can’t get an idea of OLED, from watching HDR content of an LCD, you really need to see it with your own eyes. On an LCD, blacks are still backlit, while on an OLED the blacks are not lit at all, so remain black.

Having done some extensive research, decided on this LG TV – it certainly hasn’t disappointed. The screen is excellent – natural colours which can be made more vibrant or subdued according to your preference. Sound is surprisingly good and far superior to our previous model. Plenty of apps and options – the magic remote has taken a little getting used to as it’s configured differently to our other LG but it works well. For the price, this is a steal.

After reading plenty of reviews I finally went for this tv purely for gaming. I’d heard nothing but good things and really wasn’t disappointed. Obviously it works right out of the box, but to get the best picture settings for a PS5, Series X, or even just to watch TV/Movies, I’d heavily advise watching some videos on YouTube by Vincent Teoh, on the hdtv channel. I now have the best looking games for either console, running at a buttery smooth 120fps, either in HDR or Dolby Vision. From a gamers perspective, this was an excellent purchase and I’m glad I took the plunge

Start with the only bad point which is that the screen is a little glossy when the light from the window shines on it (closing the curtains fixes it).Now for the good points, everything you want out of a TV, it is. The picture is great the sound is just as good. The ‘magic wand’ remote takes a bit of getting used to but works. I mainly watch Disney, Amazon and Netflix all of which work fine in any of the SD, HD and Ultra HD. I don’t watch sport but if that is your bag then I can say that Wimbledon looks great with no lag visible on the ball (the trailing image you sometimes get from fast moving objects). If you spend double, Which? magazine says they are better but not by much and nothing I would notice.

My first LG, the Oled C1.Only cost stopped me when I first saw the reviews on this item, when that dropped to just over a G, I couldn’t say no.Thin as a wafer.Future proof-ish.3 USB’s 2.0.4 120Hz HDMI ports, eARC TV Ethernet 3.5mm headphone Jack & more.Voice activated remote, use the magic wand, flick the remote and the cursor appears on screen 🙂 or the old style clicker. The wheel on the remote is so handy for going through the apps and menus.Plays anything you throw at it on a USB and upscales nicely. The clarity is as you would expect. Lots of picture settings to tweak if needed, but ootb, it’s fine, as are the sound settings.Gallery is a nice touch, allowing you to view masterpieces without the crowds.Gaming is on a new level as it’s got it’s own setting specifically for that. The blackest blacks you’ll ever see on screen !!I’m waiting for my PS5 to arrive. One bad point, really shouldn’t put you off.Optical cable, you really have to push hard to get it to slot into place.Overall, I’m in Love, as you will be if you choose wisely & get an LG Oled C1, you won’t need another TV
