Lasts me three or four days before needing a charge, a good size and quick charge and didn’t cost an arm and aleg

I’m an average phone user, who makes a few calls a day, likes to keep an eye on emails/text/the Web, take the odd picture or movie, listen to audio whilst on the train, and use an app occasionally for navigation etc. Here’s my take on the G9 Play.
• The G9 Play looks and feels well made, it’s quite weighty but not too thick. The blue plastic back is attractive but could get scratched without a case. A transparent cover for the rear of the phone is included in the box.
• The phone uses a USB C plug – a fast charger and lead which can be used with other USB chargers is supplied – battery life is very good, the phone easily lasts me a couple of days or more. Charging is pretty quick.
• Runs Android 10 – importantly, Motorola hasn’t cluttered it up, it’s more or less “raw” Android 10, unlike some competitors.
• SIM and memory cards are quite fiddly to insert but a SIM removal tool is supplied in the pack. The dual-band Wi-Fi seems to work well with my BT Smart Hub. You have the option…

Broke my expensive Android phone and was looking for an affordable replacement. So glad I bought the G9 Play, fantastic price for a great phone.
Processor, camera, battery screen etc, everything is really good quality and I still cannot believe my previous phone cost five times more!!
Have now had the phone a week, it has been used a lot and I still cannot fault it, recommended.

Bought as a stop gap phone. I usually have more expensive Android ones. Due to circumstances I thought I’d drop down the price range and see how good cheaper phones are these days. This one is highly rated. Functionally it’s fine, although it’s missing an accelerometer meaning Compass apps don’t work. The biggest disappointment is the screen definition. Low pixel density meaning that small font starts to break up. Really noticeable when you’ve been used to higher resolution.
Overall I can’t grumble as the phone only cost me £135 and I’ll get a better one again next time

Gift for a family friend and they love it. At this price point and build quality, I struggle to find anything from a big brand that is better.

I do not really write product reviews. I cannot see the point of spending hundreds of pounds on a phone just because it is the latest, so I bought this and I love it. It has all the features that I need. Although it is only 64GB so I have added a 32GB SD card. The battery life lasts ages (at the moment). It is easy to use and has many gestures to use like shake to turn on light and twist to open camera. It takes brilliant photos in low light and you can adjust the light level before taking the photo. It can be fingerprint or facially protected. I used Smart Transfer to clone all the data from my old Samsung 6. Not sure about gaming as I do not use i for that.
UPDATE:
Since my last review which was written just after getting it, I now not so in love with it. My main problem is with connectivity over wifi and bluetooth.
The WiFi problems I have are that it keeps dropping and also will not connect to TP-Link WiFi extenders. I have 2 in my house and I have also tried in friend’s houses…

Bought this for my partner, initially she wasn’t impressed as, although it’s still a Motorola like her older G6, the layout seemed different and she didn’t like it! After going thru the settings and looking a couple of things up on the internet, she’s pretty much got it to where she likes it. The battery life is good, the camera is just average and it’s a bit on the chunky side, but for a phone that cost me £120, I really can’t grumble. To summarize, for the price it’s a great phone just don’t expect S20 Galaxy features or quality.

Very good phone for price. Works good. Batery easy holds all day, and i at least 9 hour scroling internet or watching videos. Good enough camera. Very useful quick camera and torch switch. Good finger print unlock.
Patern unlock sometimes not working good enouth. Google buton usleless. Big and heavy.
