My big issue here is the massive taste difference and this new container has no expiry date which Is a bit odd.
I only ordered this because I normally order the vegan version but it was out of stock.
Just to say though , the vegan version in chocolate is really nice and I would give it 5 stars all day long.
The vegan one does what it says and just tastes like a really weak chocolate milk shake. So as itโ€™s the same flavour (. expect just milk whey ) I didnโ€™t expect much difference but itโ€™s so so sweet and not very easily drinkable at all so Iโ€™m going to throw it out. Iโ€™m more frustrated by the fact that I wanted to protein powder that didnโ€™t taste synthetic and Reflex advertise that nothing like this is used in their products but their whey protein couldnโ€™t taste further from that!

I liked all this product stood for in terms of the protein coming from grass fed cows and was organic, which is why I was just a little surprised that the same company decided to use Sucrolose as a sweetener. It is touted as being a close alternative to sugar, but in reality, is still broken down by the liver into toxic chemicals. However, after looking at the ingredients of several brands, I was coming to the conclusion that I probably wasn’t going to find one without any type of artificial sweetener in it. So I ordered it anyway as my need for additional protein at this time, was more important than any long-term health implications there may or may not be.

I put a couple of scoops in a blender with two banana’s and a handful of raspberries and filled it up with whole-fat milk. It tasted fine and seemed to compliment the natural ingredients used, except for one thing, it was far too sweet. So much so that it somewhat overpowered some of the sweetness of the natural fruits present,…

Surprisingly well balanced protein, with some added benefits.
25g of proteins for a concentrate is also nothing to sniff at.
The taste is ok, especially with milk (which also adds few grams of protein on its own).

Overall it’s a very interesting product. I will definitely keep an eye on my muscle mass growth progress since now.

I usually buy the BIOTech USA but I couldn’t get it this time. This one has an even better ingredient quality, but the flavour (in particular the creamy consistency) is quite awful. It fulfils its purpose but I’ll go back to my late brand if it’s available as it tastes much better.

What was once a trusted and go-to brand for protein powder seems to have taken a wrong road somewhere. This powder does not mix well with anything else you blend. You get a horrible weak water like blend that doesn’t feel like it contains any nutrients whatsoever. Side by side with PhD Diet Whey, the Reflex product is absolute garbage and I’m really struggling as to why others think it is so good. By all means try and and be disappointed but then return it and get something that will support your muscle growth and deliver essential vits…

Bought the Salted Peanut Caramel 2kg which was on offer for around ยฃ20 and was somewhat worried about all the negative reviews about the taste as that’s really important to me. I have the shake as a dessert replacement and always have my whey protein powders with 25-30% low fat yoghurt and 70-75% skimmed milk with sucralose granulated sweetener to taste, all mixed up in a blender. I’ve tried many different ways of taking protein powders but for me, this creates the best tasting shake whilst keeping the calories on the sensible side……… and I can confidently say the taste of the Reflex Salted Peanut Caramel is really nice so thumbs up from me. Fantastic value for money at ยฃ20 for 2kg.

Will pay a little more if I have to next time as it’s worth it on taste alone!!

The taste is good it desolves nicely. If you use for example coconut milk, hazelnut milk or something similar use around 350-400ml.

First time using Reflex so I donโ€™t know if I just had one from a bad batch. But this is one of the worst tasting powders Iโ€™ve had. Also, it looks like porridge when mixed.
