A lovely little camera. Lightweight and very easy to use.

Good entry level for a minor.

Don’t expect to be blown away by quality of pictures especially in low light.

But for the price is the best you can get.

Aldo it has image stability on both stills and video

Loved the price and simplicity, keeps the wife off my expensive dslr’s but you need a gentle touch when hitting the shoot button to allow the camera to focus properly, it took a while to master it but its the normal sony top quality you would expect

I bought this for my partner as she was always using mine. Perfect choice for her because it is not overly complicated and the colour was a bonus. It is not the best compact camera, but it is very capable and easy to use.

Nice camera and fairly light. Photo’s are of reasonable quality. One thing I do find though, it that it takes a wee while for the auto-focus to kick in. So gave it only 4 stars because I wouldn’t buy it again due to the auto-focus time lapse.

Takes lovely clear pictures and is easy to use. On/off button a bit fiddly and button for taking photos seems to be in the wrong place as when you are taking pictures you have to physically look for it before taking the photo, other than this a good quality little camera.

This is my 3rd Sony camera and, to start with, I’m going to copy / paste / edit some text from my original issue review (the one that I applied to my 2nd Amazon camera purchase). Please note that the part of the review that refers to this DSC-W830 refers to it as “3” and the 3 models that I’ve bought are:

    (1) DSC-W350 – 14.1mp (bought April 2011)
    (2) DSC-WX350 – 18.2mp (bought April 2018)
    (3) DSC-W830 – 20.1mp (bought Dec 2019)

I’d got my first Sony DSC-W350 camera in 2011 and was delighted with it – up until Sept 2017 when, on a family reunion holiday, the video started playing up. It would keep flashing up Auto / Panoramic messages and stop recording. Having tried the “factory settings reset” and other things (suggested by Sony support) I decided that, for our next holiday (an even bigger reunion) I’d better buy another camera – a DSC-WX350. Because, from what they’d said, a repair to my old one would have potentially cost more than a new camera. My thinking was to take both of them…

The quality of the pictures is very good and the features are useful. However, the zoom facility was disappointing for me as it did not enlarge items of interest to me in the way I had expected.
