Got this for a gift but I set it up and sampled a few tracks and pleasantly surprised on the sound quality. Bluetooth connectivity with a large Bose SoundTouch speaker was simple to pair and never lost signal. Not tried the wired phono connection as this often has a very slight improvement in sound but to be fair, the Bluetooth was spot on. Iโ€™m quite fussy on sound quality but all frequency ranges were covered and balanced very well and would say the sound quality is placed above the cost of the unit. I did end up knocking the bass down a touch on the speaker to suit my preference. It doesnโ€™t have the nerdy customisable setting for stylus upgrades and tracking load and anti-skip adjustments but something you tend to find on manual operation turntables. So if youโ€™re looking for an automatic turntable with Bluetooth connectivity look no further.

I bought the Sony PS-LX310BT as an upgrade from a “briefcase” style record player, and I am both extremely satisfied and impressed with my purchase.

Setting up the turntable is super easy, everything is packaged well and is truly a plug and play experience. It would have been nice to be able to remove the audio cables protruding from the rear of the unit but its not a big issue, I kept them tied and have hidden them behind the unit it’s is placed on.

5 minutes after unpacking all the components I had the turntable set up and connected to my bluetooth speaker (Amazon echo). I have also tried to connect this to an older Samsung soundbar however for some reason it will not play though it even though it seems to pair fine via bluetooth, this however could be an issue with my soundbar and not the turntable.

The sound produced is rich and clear, much better than the tinny speakers built in to my previous turntable also the gain switch on the back of the turntable meant I could easily adjust…

I bought this item based on all the reviews here . It was a bad decision let me say . . Firstly , let me say, I am used to mid-to-good.. quality HiFi, so perhaps this clouded my judgement . Also let me say fairly , the turntable worked perfectly from the start ..but that wasn’t the problem , but I simply had to return it .

Firstly , the bluetooth volume is simply not loud enough ( even at line-in and Hi-Gain on the phono ) .
This was the one and only reason I went for this model , and it was the worst aspect of it .
The output from my budget phone and my little, ( but better,) budget tablet, was MUCH louder .
I couldn’t believe it . It was a terrible disappointment to me . I had hoped to use this without an amp
and simply sitting on my living room table for headphone use only , but not at the volume levels it sent to my earphones , which was hopelessly inadequate .

Secondly , when I connected to my real amp ( Denon .. in another room ) things improved to approaching normal volume levels…

Most important issue first, I bought this turntable as I wanted Bluetooth connectivity first and foremost, set up was very simple, pressed the pairing button for Bluetooth pairing and would not pair with my House of Marley ‘Bag of Riddim’ speaker. Tried everything and just would not pick up, so frustrating.
So to find out whether the turntable or speaker was the problem I bought the Sony XB01 speaker and hey presto it worked right away!
This is a small speaker so not suitable to my needs so then I tried to pair with B&O Beoplay A1, this is a serious piece of kit so you would expect it to work right? Wrong, would not pair , absolute joke to be honest. The turntable only connects to certain speakers, rang Sony product service and they said the same, very surprised it hasn’t been mentioned on the reviews previously.
So the claim that this turntable connects to all types of bluetooth speaker is completely wrong and misleading.
So beware when purchasing, you need to check the Blutooth…
