If you are a cable user then this TV will work fine. Picture quality is good. However, this is let down by the sound quality probably due to cheap internal speakers. Using headphones the sound quality is good.
If you are a cable user and use a Virgin or Sky remote the TV works great. A sound box will enhance your experience. The SMART side of the TV is somewhat redundant since Virgin and Sky provide the same package ( YouTube, on demand ect.)
Using an external Ariel is a different story.
The TV will set up all the channels automatically which is very good an easy. Freeplay is easy to setup and works well.
EPG when displaced (time lag) has only the basic information available. Channel and programme name. No information about the programme is displayed. You can select the “Info” button to see the programme details but the font is so small you have to walk to the TV to read it. There is a “Channel List” button which displays every channel. While you can select your favourite channels…

I bought this for 280 and it was too much, the guide is one of two major issues, it’s slow to react to key presses and sometimes doesn’t appear, on average, it probably takes 5-10 seconds to bring the guide up, if it does at all.
The major issue is that it has frozen a couple of times, something I’ve never had with any other TV, had to be switched off and left for a few minutes before it would be ok.
Picture wise it’s ok, you’ll have to fine tune it, and it doesn’t seem to handle blacks at all and can be a little over saturated. I’m returning it, with the competition around this price there is no reason to stick with a TV as bad as this.

I bought the 65″ version as I have xbox one x, sky Q, netflix and prime… So in theory we have access to some great UDH quality stuff.
I had a very limited budget, and I found a review of the 65 on youtube that rated the picture quality very high. Boy that was wrong.
1st quality of build.
Very light tv, far lighter then my old 8 yea r old samsung (which is good). Bad light bleed around all the edges. So when you have a dark image, light is all around the fringe. On white backgrounds, snow etc I notice a wave pattern, light and not so light. This appears to be because the plastic laminate within the screen in buckled and it is very noticable.
On screen interface
Very slow. press the button for the menu and count, sometimes you can get to 2… 2 seconds… Way to slow. The interface doesn;t appear to have enough controls to set the screen correctly.
Image quality.
Wow this was bad. It was like watched standard def images, let alone UHD. I checked that sky was broadcasting in UHD, and it…

this tv came well packacked and with brilliant easy to read instructions, the remote is great but not brilliant as it is very long. but it doesnt affect the rating for me, bought as the new xbox is released in 2020 holidays and i want to be able to play games at their full potential, im also a movie collector and playing
1080p or 4K movies on this just looks stunning. the sound is great. i have mine wall mounted and really looks superb. very happy customer and i was able to pay monthly which was great. please note if you do buy for playing 4k hdr games, there is a setting in the menus you have to enable. but apart from that its fine.
Edit – im not a fan of the hdr on this tv as it is very dark and sometimes very hard to see in certain lighting conditions

I was seduced by the positive reviews but was ultimately very disappointed by the washed-out colours of this set when viewed from an angle. Not at all what I was expecting from a much touted 4K television. I sent it back to Amazon and replaced it with the LG UK62. Now, that’s what my fussy eyes and ears deserve. It is truly superb. Again, Superb!!! Sorry TLC, but you must try harder. Lesson: you buy too cheap, you buy twice!
