It’s annoying to see the amount of snowflakes on here who moan about the flavor…

Yesss it’s not great and can be grainy however for the price / quantity and considering for protein intake you eat for purpose NOT pleasure !! this is spot on, if you’re after a decent product , good quanity, then it’s here.

If you’re after deliscious taste with low carb / and decent protein intake for a shake … then you’re doing it all wrong in the first place.

This is by far the most disgusting protein I have ever bought. It has the consistency of a bag of flour and the flavour is pretty much non existent. Had 1 shake out of mine and had to give it away. I know you get the so called gym geniuses on here saying it’s about what it does for you and not the taste but to those people I just say you clowns I see in the gym all the time and moan frequently if your steroids ain’t up to scratch so crawl back to the pharmacy and shut your mouths. You shouldn’t have to put up with a bad tasting protein if you spend your hard earned money on it. You wouldn’t buy a steak you don’t like because it’s protein. Pay the extra for a better brand and don’t listen to the know it all steroid warrior comments as you will be sorry when you taste this crap

Read the reviews on this powder, wasn’t sure about buying it afterwards. Took a gamble, and it payed off. Arrived on time etc, big black tub, seal unbroken. So, i’m an intermediate to advanced power lifter, I’ve put the hours in when it comes to chugging protein shakes. This one (serious protein – chocolate) is not nearly the worst I’ve used or tasted. Now I go for 2/3 scoops in a standard mesh dispersal type shaker, and if you give it a good enough shake I’ve found it mixes perfectly fine. The taste to me, is that of a blend of whey and casein. Now, i’m not a fan of the taste of any casein I’ve bought before. It’s not the worst, but I’d rather not. Is it drinkable? Yes (it’s not pea protein!) Am I going to cry about it? For this price, not at all. Some reviews stated that is was ‘grainy’, now I wouldn’t describe mine like that. ‘Floury’, well maybe, I guess, but I would wager those reviewers don’t have much experience with casein or soy proteins. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not as…

Cost wise it’s a great protein, great value for money. The taste (the very thing that most people have given it negative reviews for) is actually pretty decent, you need to ask yourself the question are you more concerned about making gains and leaning out or having a sweet flavour in your mouth for the less than 15 seconds it takes to drink the 250ml of protein shake. It mixes into my shaker pretty decently too with few to no clusters after 30 seconds of shaking it vigirously. I’ve witnessed significant gains in just over a month, I can visibly notice the difference when I flex and my biceps have grown just over 0.5 inches even though I donโ€™t specifically train them alone, Iโ€™m not too sure how that compares to others but I feel itโ€™s good progress thanks to this protein.

I’m torn with how to rate this, which is why i’ve gone middle of the road with 3 star. On the one hand, it’s a large quantity for a cheap price and a mixture of whey and casein, which i find an excellent idea as it covers both bases by giving fast and slow release. But on the other hand there’s no amino acid profile so we don’t actually know what we’re getting.

One red flag is that it’s got additional glutamine, which bumps up the nitrogen content. Since protein content is measured by way of nitrogen content, the listed protein of 24g per serving is not accurate since part of that protein is going to be the nitrogen from the glutamine.

The whey is also concentrate, not isolate, and without the amino acid profile we have no idea how good it is.

Look at the price, they’ve certainly saved cost somewhere. Is it from a poor quality whey concentrate which has then been padded with glutamine so as to bump up the protein content? There’s no way to know. Is it the flavour? The flavour is…
